Have to ask, why do you want one of those plastic LCD covers? They are impossible to see through and also cover up the buttons, so can't make any adjustments while driving unless using one of your preset switches/trims.
If it's purely for protection of the LCD screen, a much better and hugely more convenient solution is an Invisible Shield LCD protector or some other kind of similar [all but] invisible, stick-on (but very easily removeable and ith zero residue) plastic LCD screen protection sheet. I've used one on my M11, M11x and every DSLR camera I've owned in the past 5 years and they are SO cheap and SO incredibly strong and make it just about impossible to mark or scratch the LCD screen. The best bit is that, as the name implies, they really are invisible. I've given my TX/camera to so many people and asked them if they could see anything different on mine from theirs or any other idfentical TX/camera and not a single person spotted the Invisible Shield on either device until I told them and even then, had to point out the edges of the Shield for them to be able to clearly see it's there. Just a bit of food for thought. |
Purely protection.
I will add the film as well. I am a firm believer in protecting investments. If I can protect the lcd from impact when not in use for 7 bucks....its a no brainer. :D |
Spose so... I keep my TX in a SpeedMind foam padded case whenever it isn't in my hands, so I haven't ever had to be concerned with it getting damaged when not in use. Don't think I've ever used the hard plastic cover for the LCD apart from trying it out when I first got an M11 years ago and then only putting it back on for taking pics when I sell the radio.
I am one of those types who are constantly adjusting little things on the TX, like steering expo, dual range, brake EPA, etc., and even though I have those 3 things all programmed to either switches or trims, I still like to see on the screen, what I've set it to, dunno why really. But with the plastic cover, I just find it very hard to work with and always in the way when I need to do something on the LCD. But hey, everyone's different so if it works for you, why not. |
My M11x sits in a dominator hard case. If you think you need the cover than that's fine. But I agree with Aaron125. You will be taking it on and off until the point that you'll be sick of it and put it away and never use it. :)

Question unanswered
Hey Folks,
Saw a question a while back that nobody tackled... and I'm curious... Will using ABS or Traction control work on a brushless buggy? or are they geared towards two servo setups? Since brushless brakes get softer as you slow down, I can't see where ABS would help much... but traction control could be really great to help to calm down the instant torque you get with modern brushless motors. Has anybody tried it? On another note: It occurs to me that using ABS might be one of the few places that using the SHR or SSR servo setting (with compatible servos) could have significant impact. ABS that can modulate/pulse even .1 sec faster will make a big difference. |
Anyone heard about the new M12 update which is coming out some time soon? Looks a bit wierd, too much like the MT4 for my tastes. Wonder if there will be much of a tangible inprovement when it comes to latency and things like that because with the M11x currently at 4ms, I very much doubt anyone could feel anything faster than that anyway.

My guess is it will have be the same speed as the m11x with extra functions added.

Extra functions? The only thing missing on the M11x is an alarm for when you leave it powered on.

This Sanwa M12, could be touch-screen
|
Is it just me or does thing look 4pl/4pk,,,,ish?
|
I will keep my M11x. The M12 is just too "MT4-ish" for my taste, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with my M11x. Best transmitter I have ever owned!
