Default need help..not sure what the problem is..

I got the hobbywing 80a esc in a trade. It's like new and wasn't actually run in a car bfore i got it. I hooked it up and calibrated it and set everything where i wanted it with the program card..hooked it up with a savox 1258, and a tacon 3660 3500kv motor..with a spektrum radio system.used a 5800mah 65c 2s lipo .very 1st time i drove the truck..it was missing a rear driveshaft..but the esc worked good..only drove it for about 2-3 minutes..went forward fine..backwards fine..brakes worked...so i got my other driveshaft in and fired it up again..this time when i turned the wheels left or right, the servo glitched and returned the wheels to center position..every time i turned and hit the throttle it did this. also when i put it in reverse and let off throttle...the car would keep going 3 -4 foot bfore it would stop..then, i swapped servos to a cheap rtr servo and tried again..this time it did the same thing with the steering..cutting out and returning to center..and reverse did the same thing, kept going aftr i let off the throttle..and now when i try to go forward, if i stay under 1/4 throttle, it will turn fine and drive fine...but if i go over 1/4 throttle, the truck cuts out with the steering and the throttle..it'll go and stop, go and stop, go and stop...i tried recalibrating the esc, and all my radio settings are like the book says to have them...not sure what to do..is the esc bad?? it's literally brand new..only like 5 minutes on it..I don't understand why it worked great when i was missing a driveshaft..and now that all wheels are hooked up it's messing up??

Run a glitch buster in the rx or run a separate ubec
Spektrum rx have issues when the voltage drops, some esc,s don't have a very good bec and drop voltage under load or if the servo has a high draw

And VERY smooth paired with a quality motor.
Just got a killer deal on a nice 8ight e 2.0 and just placed an order for the 80A/2250kv M1 combo. Should be great!

I quote myself and "bump" my question here, is it neccessary to blind this hole in the casing?

Default Hobbywing XERun-120A ESC and Tacon 4300kv

Hobbywing XERun-120A ESC and Tacon 4300kv, flysky 2.4ghz remote

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I just installed this setup running 87/24 with a flysky 2.4 remote (dont worry motor temp isnt close to nuking) but my issue is with the setup itself..

Two things when I hit forward, I have to hit it twice for it to go, like forward and reverse are switched since u have to hit neutral first to engage reverse except its backwards. I hit the throttle twice to make it go.

The other issue is braking. when I hit brake it stops the truck, not like a drag brake, but power is killed and I cant get back on throttle until I hit it twice again which is annoying if ur trying to brake into a corner.

So far ive adjusted to it by practicing all day but I rather have the brake function.. My esc setup is set for forward/brake/reverse, no drag brake, no intial brake and reverse 100%. It seemed some feature on my remote is backward but if I switch it to REV mode it doesnt help, I lose reverse and the position of the throttle is switched. So then im thinking maybe switch the wires on the motor and it doesnt help. If I do that now left is right, right is left and i still have no reverse. I then switch the mode in the remote to REV and still no change... im stuck.

thx to the guys over at rcshortcourse..

long story short I switched wires (black/yellow/red to yellow/black/red) then in my remote set my channel two/esc servo to reverse, EPA left forward 100%, throttle trim noo/normal, channel two/esc ABS off. Then I reset my three points, neutral / forward / backward on the esc like you would when you first set it up.

sidenote... I was lost for a bit when i had those settings in the remote but still had no reverse. That was when I reset the 3 points on the esc everything was a go after that. Reverse likely wasnt right from setup. No lost power, truck was just as fast as before but now have brake / double tap into reverse.

I just did this on one of my cars; the cap solved the 'glitch-at-launch' issue. What's the story on "that spektrum rx mod"? First I've heard of it...

I am having a problem with the 35A esc with the 9T. I have the combo in a 2wd buggy for several months now and just recently after a lap or two in a heat it slows down to about a crawling speed for a few seconds then returns to normal and it will happen again within the same heat. The motor and esc are not even warm when I take it off the track, so I don't think its thermaling.
Also this problem does not happen every heat.

The lipo is fully charged before each heat and I've ran the same lipos in my SC without any problem.

Anyone have any ideas?

fairly sure i doesn't use a fan or need one

Is the 1S requires a Fan?( i think Fan is included right? or is ok with out it? dont have plans on using more thatn 2S lipo onto it and the lowest Turn i can run is 6.5T but realistically 8.5T will be enough..

any feedback would be appreciated, as im planning to get one for my sons Truck.

thanks,
If i remeber reading the instrustions right, the 1S and be also used for as a 2S as well but requires the fan and heatsink that is suppied to run a 2S.

I am planning to get a SC8 120A ESC. What motor should I use for a 1/8 scale buggy converted to rally car. Max use 4S Lipo. Mostly bashing and street use.

A question about the Xerun SCT Pro 120A

The manual says

Programmable Items
9. Timing (Only for sensorless motor)

So if i buy this esc i can't use timing on a sensored motor? Any one have tried it with a sensored motor? It's hard to believe it won't work

My manual says the item is usable for both sensored and sensorless brushless motors.

Needs to be sensor-ed for boost/turbo. but standard timing should be adjustable for sensor-less

Anyone have a link to the software that allows turbo/boost/supercharger for 35A and 120A ESCs?
