Hobbywing ESC's

One thing also...if your radio allows for travel/endpoint adjustment make sure and set it so servo is NOT pushing 100% right or left. Back it off 4 positions or so. this will help with current draw.
What receiver are you using?
A cap is just a battery so to speak. It keeps the receiver voltage from dropping below a certain point that causes the glitching/brownouts.
MMP and spektrum are the worst. I know guys running KO propo and MMP and have zero issues. Savox servos are also bad with spektrum. I understand this is a HW thing, but applies nonetheless.

I am having problems with program cards. When I plug it in, card turns on for split second and then off. Tried 2 different cards and both are doing this. So I thought it was lose wire, changed that out, put new plugs and still doing same thing. Everything works fine but cannot change settings on esc. Anyone have this issue. I have the 120a xerun. Do u think it's a bad bec that can cause this?

I just recently figured out a problem with my brand new 80a xerun. I had the same problems others have had with power. When I jammed the throttle it would sputter and shut off for a second, then come back on only to sputter again. When I gently applied throttle it would work, but would have the same problems again when I hit the gas. Upon closer inspection with the problem, it appeared that the entire truck was shutting down including the receiver and servo so I narrowed it down to a BEC problem. It seemed no one had an answer for it, they just posted to turn down the timing and punch on the forums so I'm posting my solution.
A CC external BEC fixed it up perfect and I am able to run all the timing and punch that I want.
tl/dr
fixed with CC BEC

I forgot to post up my findings too, CC BEC fixed mine as well. I run throttle punch on level 5 as well as timing. Works great now and the cc bec only weighs 1/2 oz

Hi guys
I've swapped to an ezrun 60a 5.5t combo for my buggy and so far been really impressed with the performance - way faster than my old setup and a 1/3rd of the cost. However I've a couple of questions regarding the motor and the programming box
I can only get to option 10 on the LED - I want option 11 so I can reverse the motor so I can run in my mid motor car, any ideas as to how?
On the motor I want to remove the soldered in bullet connectors so I can put them on the opposite side as it rubs my bodyshell - I've tried to desolder them but can't get them off, again any ideas or is it not possible

The counterrotation is not supported via firmware for your particular model. I have 3 hobbywing escs, and they all have different numbers of configurable parameters (ezrun SC8, xerun 60A, xerun 150A).
If you buy the programmable LCD box, you can potentially have newer firmware which might support this (again might but you should confirm with hw support).

Thanks for the replies
I was aware about swapping the two wires but was curious that the programming card had it written on but it wouldn't get to the step. I'll just swap the phases for now
The soldering iron is 240v 50w - not the best but I can solder the wires into the esc with it so assumed it should be ok to unsolder the connectors?
