sorry ...I got the 13.5/60A combo

mxracer458 08-22-2009 03:55 PM

dont they make a sensor version?Or should i not worry about it and just get the 60 A one.I heard unsensored has alittle delay?Or should i not worry about because i might not even notice it since im not pro?ill be running 13.5 and 105 motors with lipos.

Had some good results pushing the 35a esc to it's limits this weekend. Was running 35a esc with a novak 8.5 motor in mod truck this weekend. It performed flawlessly. The esc could have cared less that it should have not been able to run that motor.ESC temps after a 5 minute run were under 100* all day long. I have decided that it is one tough speedo for 30.00:nod:

im looking at the 60A ESC.Is there alot problems with cogging?how is throttle response?Does it act different if i run a sensored motor in this speedo? They are lipo ready correct?i have a 2s 3400 orion

mxracer458 08-23-2009 09:11 AM

do they make a sensor version for the 10th scale?

I have been testing the esc with a Novak SS5800 motor too, but I'm concerned with the esc temperature as it went to about 55*C in slightly over 4 mins. Do you know which motor timing yours is at, and do we gear down to reduce motor temp?

Right now the esc is pushing a 10.5T motor happily, with acceptable motor temperature and cool esc temp. Would be nice if I can run it safely with the 8.5T Novak.

OK heres the deal the ss5800 isnt the exact same as an 8.5.An 8.5 is rated at 5000Kv while the ss 5800 is rated at 5800Kv.Also if it is an original 5800 with the bonded rotor it will run much cooler and be more efficient with a sintered rotor kit in it which will help with the esc temps also.

Running the 8.5 motor I changed nothing as far as what I normally gear that motor in my 2wd truck. 22p/86s gearing. Which is what I gear it at running a sensored speedo. The timing on the esc is at 15*(factory default) on 2s 20c li-pos. Motor was in the low 100's all day maxxing out at 114 one run while the speedo maxed out at 98 the same run because the traction was up that run.

They do, it's most commonly marketed as Speed Passion GT 2.0.

AKA XeRun 2.0 also for a cheaper price tag than the speed passion.

Thanks for the reply :)
I'll probably do some experiments with all the parameters again, for the fun of it. Or just stick to the 10.5T. With 2s 30C 4200 lipo, the 10.5T is doing perfectly at my backyard track anyway. :D

They make a sensored version they named XERUN 60A and XERUN 120A those are the most reliable ESC's I've ever seen.
Myself running a 120A version it is the same as speed passion and give a big shot of power. I have run the 3.5t Trinity pulsar and the speed passion 4.0t.
with top speed of 105km/h with 2cell lipo and with the temp cut on(95degr.C), and never reaced the temp cut, this mean they are good.
Price by RC Market is 110.00 USD,fore this price it is worlds best ESC.
Thanks

Ed

I just finished converting a Hotbodies LSP and thought I would share some pics:sweat: I used Hobbywings 150A esc and their 2000kv motor and Losi's 8T-E battery tray and RC monster's motor mount. I only had to drill one hole for the battery tray. The LSP turned out stupid fast:eek:

I know I can find this Speedo w/ a motor for under $100, but where did you find just the Speedo for $30.00?
