here's the combo I think I'm going to get
http://cgi.ebay.com/eZrun-RC-1-10-12...3A1%7C294%3A50
Great price and the esc can handle lower turn motors than the Novak Havoc and the Lrp Ai Reverse that I was looking at

I think you are going to be very happy with your new setup.

Did you get the EZrun, or the XErun? I hope it fits! Between the lack of room on the chassis and the height of the body, the XXX-4 can be a real pain making things fit.

Even though the 60Amp ESC is only rated for 60Amps constant, it's burst rate is something like 360AMPS! which is more than any 2S LiPo on the market can put out right now. Even with my Slash (HEAVY) with the 8.5T it was only drawing a MAXIMUM of 43amps under hard bashing through tall grass and loose dirt.

Have my order on hold and heading towards the 60amp as should be more than enough and of course the 120 amp higher to..forgot about that:(
havent received the truck yet and should be here tomorrow.
should I get the sensored motor and not run the cable or get a non sensored motor? and advantages or disadvantages?when running with the 60amp ecu?
Thanks.

If your going to get your motor from Hobbywing then I would get the sensorless motor if your going with the 60A EZrun ESC. If your going to go with a bigger name brand, Trinity Duo 2 would be my first choice. I have heard nothing but good things about these motors. Don't get me wrong I like the XErun! I wish it was avaible in the states when I bought my EZrun. I just don't know if it's any bigger. What I do KNOW is that the 60Amp EZrun ESC works/fits GREAT in my XXX-4G+ (I'm running the Aurora body BTW)

thats cool..seems like they are better in the rough which may be good for our track as its a shared gas 8th scale track. Thanks.

What is it geared at? What surface are you running on? Did you check temps on the motor or ESC during a run before you let the smoke out? Can that ESC handle 4S?

Tired Racer 07-21-2009 05:36 PM

Ordered 2x HobbyWing - B4 Combos (EZRUN 5.5T w/ 60A ESC) and 2x 13.5T BL motors yesterday from HobbyPartz and got them delivered today (they're located an hour away). These will be going in our Slash trucks.

alana07 07-21-2009 07:09 PM

so has anyone tried out the XERun V2 60A esc combo set yet? is it worth the money?

I bought the ESC without a motor so i've been running heaps of different sensored motors with nothing plugged in it makes no difference whether the motor is sensored or not.

There is any changes between EZRUN-4465SL EZRUN-3674SL motors that justify the diference of 80$ ?

Thanks

I was going to use my 60A combo for dual duty but dang after seeing hobbypartz price on the 35A I may just pick one of those up for my RC12L3.

2wdMod 07-22-2009 01:03 PM

Just put a Ez-run 35 A speedo and ez-run 17.5 combo in my sct and after a couple packs on default speedo settings I can say that for the 70.00 this set-up cost me it is worth it's weight in gold!!

No cogging what so ever.It was geared the same as the LRP/novak system that was in it.was just as fast. The motor ran cooler and the speedo didnt even heat up at all.Motor temp after 10 min. of runtime was 114*F after the first battery, so I went up 3 teeth.Ran for another 10 min. run STILL no cogging, was fast as poop, and the motor temp was 134*F,speedo was still cold as Ice like it didnt even know it was being used!Gotta give it a thumbs up for the money!
