The 13.5 is just ABOUT the same speed as the Titan 12T motor, just with a tad more punch. The 13.5 is what we are using at our local, it keeps things pretty even with the box stock guys too. If you want something a bit faster I would go with a 10.5. Just keep in mind that the EZrun motors that are higher than 8.5 all have a 380 sized rotor and will get burnt up in a Slash. That's why I went with the 8.5T, because it has a 540 sized rotor. Now if you want to use the EZrun ESC and another motor like a Tekin Redline, or a Trinity Duo (these are motors that work both sensored and sensorless) then you can use any motor they make up to a 5.5t (EZruns Spec limit per the manual)

Did you get the EZrun, or the XErun? I hope it fits! Between the lack of room on the chassis and the height of the body, the XXX-4 can be a real pain making things fit.

Even though the 60Amp ESC is only rated for 60Amps constant, it's burst rate is something like 360AMPS! which is more than any 2S LiPo on the market can put out right now. Even with my Slash (HEAVY) with the 8.5T it was only drawing a MAXIMUM of 43amps under hard bashing through tall grass and loose dirt.

I haven't tried it, but since it's a 17.5T it uses a 380 sized rotor(EZrun motors only). It should work great for 1:10 on-road racing! For off-road I wouldn't use in ANYTHING other than a 1:10 2wd Buggy. Anything heavier than that and I think your going to burn it up.

Jay, I was under the impression that the ribbed can motors were the ones using the 380 size rotor. The one pictured looks like one of the SPEED passion sportsman motors without adjustable timing, Am i missing something Bro??

The x.5 motors (non ribbed) are the full 540 size motors, rotor and all.
The full number motors (ex: 9, 13) with the ribbs are 380 motors, 380 windings and 380 rotor.

So the 17.5 is indeed a full 540 motor.

The mamba motors are a 540 windings motor with a 380 rotor in them, or so I have read on more than one ocasion.

2kg+ is towards the point of getting a bit heavy for the 380 motors (esp the 9t).

OK, That what I was under the impression of after reading both the ez-run threads here on RC Tech.We will see how it works out . way I figure for 40.00 for a 17.5 even if it's a backyard practice motor it's worth it to me not to be running my race motors for fun

Sorry! When I bought my setup they didn't have the ".5" motors any higher than the 8.5T. So yeah the ribbed can motors are the 380 sized ones. Sorry about that!

Not a prob Jay. I tried to do my research since it will be going in an SC truck and from the sounds of it I will stay away from the ribbed can motors.
