Futaba FASST 2.4gHz receiver antenna replacement PN: HSP79452

Just went through a tough search to find a replacement PN for my futaba FASST receiver and wanted to post the results and save some others the hassle.

The case is easy enough to open up and the antenna has a coax connector that pops right off (no solder required) on my R603FS. I believe it will also work on models R603FF & R604FS.

For some reason, Futaba does not sell it direct. Google or have your LHS order it for you.

Does anyone have a 4pks carry case FS? If so PM me. Thanks

What is the difference between the 614FF and 614FS receivers?
They look the same and they both have one antenna that looks the same length? I see the newest 4pks comes with the FS.

the f has one external antenna the s has dual diversity one internal one external.

Is the FS any faster then th FF? I need to pick up an extra receiver for my 4pks, curious if the FS is worth the extra cost.

It is not faster just more reliable, especially when there are a lot of Futaba's users around. IMO It is worth the price

I have same problem with mine. Did you have any luck finding a fix?

Is it possible to display the receiver packs voltage in my nitro car on the screen of my 4pks?

4pk issues?

I recently picked up a 4pk. The radio works great kinda. I have a strange issue. Every once and awhile when I swtich between models the transmitter acts funny. Funny you ask. Well the screen goes blank and the LED light below it blinks fast. I can hit a it will only take me the menu selection. It would let me see the home screen. If I dont make a selection screen blanks and led blinks fast. I can go in menu selection and select another saved model. Everything is fine. If I go back to the other model its craps out again. I have to erase the stored model of the messed up one. Its done it about 4 times on different model numbers. The only way to fix it, is to erase the mess up one and enter the info again.

Any ideas? Futaba software messed up? It there a software update? Or did I get a uud system second had(buyer beware)?

I had this exact problem come up last week. It seems to be affecting only one model so far. Not exactly sure what to do next.

No the radio only transmits to the receiver on board. You may be able to find some telemetry system that may transmit to a receiver you hold in your hand or that of your pitman. I think Eagle systems makes either that or an on board recorder.

I thought it was one model memory location too. So I stopped using it. Its strange as the radio works fine but I cant see the home screen, just the menu screens. It just fades out the LCD and blinks led very fast when I try to get to the home screen.

If I erase the memory I can use it again with no issues. It only happens when I change models. I race 2wd buggy and SC. I flip between them multiple times a night.. Then every once and a while it craps out.

Do you have any idea?

Is there a software upgrade?

I really dont want to sent it out for repair..
