you guys do realize that these radios run spektrum recievers flawlessly and very solidly.... hmm i wonder if it would talk with the new spektrum sensor receivers.

LIFEPO4 RX 6.4V BATTERY
Has any one successfully tried one of these in their React as tx battery?

Actually, I find lipos much easier to deal with than Nimh batteries, so when I go to the track, I run mine using a Flightmax 1300mah 2S lipo and a BEC at 5V.
Incidentally, when I switched to lipo I was beginning to notice that, with the power off, my React would drain fully charged nimh packs in a little over a week. It could be that my nimh packs are nearing the end of their lives, nonetheless, has anyone else had this experience? I know ESCs suck power even when turned off, but didn't think radios did. (As a matter of policy, I never leave lipos plugged in when not in use.) |

http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...idProduct=3735 It's switchable between 5v and 6v, but the 5v setting really outputs about 5.2v, which works perfectly with the React. |
Thanks a bunch John ! :D
I'll give it a try. |
the spektrum recievers are a little slower and yes you have to run them in the beta mode but they are solid and work fine.
as far as the 2s lipo DONT do that without a voltage regulator .. the radios are only meant to run on 4.8 nominal volts.. with a peak of close to six. if you use more than six volts you risk damage to the radio and you void warrenty.. also there is a internal battery that keep the memory running so you dont loose your settings, while the battery is unplugged BUT if you leave the pack plugged in the memory will run off of the main pack instead of the internal battery.. thats why it drains the pack. |
I right now run the Nomadio react and use the beta mode for the Spektrum SR3500 receivers I have since there wasn't any tranceivers available at the time. no issues, work flawlessly, though the Nomadio tranceivers do feel a bit more responsive.
Hopefully they don't go away, I really love my React radio. |
I am not sure if this is a good place to put this, but I have 6 receivers for sale. 70 shipped.
|
Nomadio RC is done! :(

You guys who are running a React with Spektrum receivers, can you tell me the bind procedure for binding the two. I know to put the React into DSSS mode, but what do I do then?
|
you will go and bind it just like you do with a tranceiver from Nomadio.
|
I've had my Nomadio react for a few years and I love it, the product support is great as far as repairs go, I wish they'd offer new products but that work is going to Military Applications, the only radio that comes close to it's abilities is the new spectrums with telemetry, but Nomadio started it first.:)
