well crap, i just came here to post about a runaway i had during practice at the track last night, now i know where to start checking. is that the firmware on the rx or tx?
I tried to disseminate this information as much as possible, but in the end the ELRS developers did not make it public. The solution is simple. Either use v3.3.0 or update to v3.4.x. However, although this problem itself has been resolved in v3.4.0, v3.4.x is still new, so we cannot deny the possibility of other problems. This is inevitable since ELRS is an open source project. |

This is a bug (#2458) in the PWM RX firmware. This occurs in v3.3.1 and v3.3.2. To be precise, there is no problem with v3.3.1 itself, but v3.3.1 of the ELRS configurator contains a bug.

Hello everyone,
Within 1 month my MT12 turned off itself twice for no reason while driving my cars. In both cases, the battery was over 80%. Has anyone had or heard of that problem? |

I've been using MT12 since the end of last year, but this was the first time this had happened, so I thought it was a bad battery connection. I'm using EdgeTX 2.10.1. |

Update both. I found the easiest way to do it was download the ELRS configurator, log into the tx's wifi page so you can get it to connect to your local wifi network, then your tx will show up on the configurator and you can update direct from there. The latest is 3.4.1 I think, but I'm on 3.4.0 and haven't had any issues since updating.

I bought this and then returned it because it was more work than I wanted to deal with at the time. Thinking of trying it again now that it has been out for awhile and maybe there are cheat sheets to help set it up. All my recievers are Spektrum, which MT12 radio is the best model to get to use with DSM2/DSMR recievers.
Thank you, |
4-in-1, but I don't think it's any easier to set up than it was a few months ago? Also I don't think it supports DSMR yet.

Well I am glad I decided to try the M12 again. Now that I have time before the indoor season, I have been finding more tutorials for setting up the radio. It is amazing how many ways there are to set the same type of adjustments. I have found 1 tutorial that I liked the best and have now set up a template to copy for all my cars. I can't wait to try it out in actual racing conditions.
At least now I have the radio set up with the basic functions needed with easy acces. The only issue is trying to remember what i did to set up each function. |
I ported the TX12MK2 firmware to MT12. Click here for the video.
https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...bd02005ddc.jpg by this, - Traditional stick position graphics (I don't like MT12 to be surface specific) - Compatible with companion (as TX12MK2) - LED strip cannot be used yet (build error occurs) - One-hand control (for air models) using the separately sold Gyro Control Module becomes easy (probably) I've only run it and haven't done enough testing yet. Companion support is also incomplete. mawz, if you are watching this, could you give me your opinion? |

I know a fair amount of people who have had to replace their steering pot in a Sanwa M17. It's not a non-issue.

Unfortunately I'm still getting full throttle runaways on this thing. Not sure why. I'm on the latest 3.4.3 firmware on my receiver. Anyone else having issues even on the latest firmware?
|
I have not experienced control lost since v3.4.x.
First, make sure that the ELRS versions of TX and RX are the same. I update the firmware using UART instead of wifi. |
So far I have my MT12 running my TT-02, HG-P801, and Unimog U423.
I installed ELRS PWM receivers in TT-02 and P801, and using 4-in-1 module to talk to FlySky receiver in the Unimog. For my remaining vehicles, need to replace the radio/ESC combo in my FMS Unimog because theirs is proprietary. Box stock rules on my Mini-Z don't allow third party transmitters or I would use that. The MT12 is filling the role I anticipated as my universal ground transmitter pretty well. Once I got used to the EdgeTX setup, and flashing ELRS, it's all pretty easy to deal with. For the price, very happy with the purchase. |
