Where is this precision set at?

Not an option on my FW, nor is it in the latest official release. Looks like 2.10 adds it, but that is still working it's way through release candidates.

I just looked through the EdgeTX github issues and the enhancement for using global variables in inputs and mixes has been requested....

https://github.com/EdgeTX/edgetx/issues/4007

The way I'm reading it, this request is to use a GV as an input or an output which is different than the solution we need.

I decided to go ahead and add it as an issue: https://github.com/EdgeTX/edgetx/issues/4832

If more surface guys show up to comment in support of it that might give it a better chance of getting done.

I think it's V2.10.0-RC1.

splitting a channel

Has anyone running the ER3C-i receiver split one of their channels via a y-harness? I burnt out two motor fans running them via the assigned port on my esc (Hobbywing XR10 Pro V1) despite both fans being rated well above the bec output voltage of 7.4v. So my plan was to split channel 3 between my transponder and the fan.

Id always recommend to wire you fan to the ESC +/- input
... No matter the radio manufacturer

Not sure what you plan to achieve there since the voltage at the receiver port comes from the ESC BEC anyway, it'll be at the same voltage.

Because there’s obviously an issue with my fan port on my esc bec. I’ve blown two fans already using that. It must be spiking voltage. That’s why I’m looking at another option.

If it's voltage spiking, that same voltage spike will appear at the receive port because it's the exact same BEC voltage. I'm not convinced it's a voltage spike though, fans can fail for many different reasons. A spike generally isn't enough to take one out, it'll need to be at a high voltage for an extended period to burn it out.

Decided to order this radio and an extra 5ch rx. Should be here Wed. Looking forward to learning more about it. Plan on using the 3ch in my mud boss oval racer and the 5ch in my SCT. Might get another rx for a buggy.

Watch some setup videos, download the manual. The menus are messy and it takes some playing around and patience. :)
