The bridge mode is interesting. Are 1.2A/2A/2.4A/4A much noticeable on a balancing?

Only if the cells are really unbalanced. 1.2A is plenty for balancing.

I found this for $225, $10 off coupon, and free shipping Unfortunately it’s out of stock now - ended up with the S6. Thanks for the responses.

That’s a good deal. Looks like most US retailers are charging $300, but it looks like ProgressiveRC is selling them at $250.

4. Has capabilities of the 306duo when paired with an external discharger
5. Some places, like progressive rc, are selling the charger for $250. Cheaper than the $270 for the 306duo.
6. Shows charge and discharge capacity for each cell.

Disadvantages:
1. IMO the kickstand doesn't angle the charger enough for good screen visibility. I can see why though, the charge cables would get in the way.
2. Low internal discharge capabilities for those without an external discharger. A little less than half the current of the 306duo.
3. Scroll wheel isn't a smooth as the old design.
I often run more than 1 class so I need to charge a pack while discharging another pack at the same time. Using an external discharge bank with the Duo406, you can only discharge 1 pack using both ports. So, my current setup is two S6's so they both run at the same time and I 'manage' 2 packs simultaneously.
Can the DX8 do that? can you use an external discharge bank on one channel while charging on the other?

You can use the pack that's currently charging as a regenerative discharge bank. However it's a bit annoying to set up and if one pack finishes first, the process stops and you need to switch back to a conventional mode.

I don't see where on mine you can make your own. Thank you
It took me too long to find the hidden menu... So I made a video on how to create custom memory profiles:

I did not see a lot of reviews on the DX8 so I made my own video. I have only had it about a few weeks, so this is mostly a physical overview and how I have been using it so far.

This isn't true. Like all iChargers, the DUO's allow you to use the extra discharge function. This is the exact same functionality you are using on your S6's.

can someone please confirm this? You can use an external discharge bank (wired in-line positive lead) to discharge a pack on one channel of a duo 406, while simultaneously using the other channel to charge another pack?

I've been using ichargers for years (have a 406duo and DX8) and don't see how this is possible. Both channels are used during a discharge session. A battery dumps energy from one channel into the other channel using another battery or discharge bank.

Can a DUO be wired similar to the smaller ichargers? Where discharging can be accomplished through one channel? Never seen one wired up like that but would be an interesting option if possible.
