It varies. Some top off, some dump and charge. On 2s i didn't notice much of a difference, but with 1s I notice a difference. I normally run multiple classes so dumping to an external resister bank really isn't possible. I need both channels.

If you look at most of the use cases for the DUO chargers (at least in RC car racing), you would probably see that most times they are used with a discharge bank. I'm sure Junsi recognizes this. They can save money with fewer/smaller components (more profit as the new chargers are more expensive) and save some weight too.

This may be true but I would suggest it is only the case because the chargers aren't capable of providing the discharge rates people are looking for without a discharge bank. If the charger was able to discharge 2S at 40 amps I don't think many people would be using discharge banks. It would make for a really expensive charger though that would be hard to market because a lot of consumers aren't really aware of the need for discharge on something that says its a charger.

I use the internal discharge rate at the end of the day. External discharge banks are against the rules where I race, so there's no point investing in one.

Only in synchronous mode (using both channels to charge the one pack). In normal mode, 30A is the limit.

Can you make your own memory settings?

I don't see where on mine you can make your own. Thank you

Unfortunately photos will never do the scheme justice. You have to see it in person to see the detail. I stupidly only got the one body painted and I saved it so I can use it as reference. Should've had more done, no one can replicate it.

I was not aware it is was a thing. I think it is good for the hobby forbidding this kind of things...

Used mine this weekend at MHIC for the first time. Worked great. IR feature is more accurate and consistent. Super small.....even smaller than it looks in pics.

The difference is 2. :sneaky: Sorry, couldn't resist. DX6 will charge up to 6S batteries and DX8 will charge up to 8S batteries.
