In that case, you should order from https://www.teampowersusa.com/Flysky...tem_p_415.html

It's shipping from Norcal Hobbies based out of San Jose. $420+tax shipped. Assuming no discount it's cheaper than hobbyking, plus you are supporting a local US track and hobbyshop.

Default Be advised!

For those thinking about buying this radio or have one on order, take note:

The Pro is incompatible with the V1.1 Flysky assistant. Now you may say, big deal the V3 is out. Well as someone noted in the NB4 Facebook group, the V3 software requires Internet service for starters but also, the many of us are reporting issues in getting the application to actually work and/or connect to the Flysky servers. The NB4 still works (I've confirmed after seeing that post on FB) with the V1.1 even though the link to that application has been removed from Flyskys downloads page and replaced with the V3 download link. It's crazy because many of us are just buying this radio at the same time, many of us also own the NB4 and are experiencing the same issues.

I think it's in our best interest to ask Flysky to update the Pro to be able to function with the V1.1 application which just simply works until the V3 issues are worked out. This is not the end of the world, the radio works great and Flysky has usually been very responsive to fix issues.

As an update to this, the V3 assistant app nows works for me HOWEVER, it takes really long to connect with the Flysky servers. Don't know what the deal was but I assume (since I didn't get any feedback before) that there was an issue with their servers. Hopefully they can make it so no internet connection is required so use the application.

If you own an NB4 non Pro, just know that any current backups you have saved WILL NOT transfer over to the Pro via the app. This might be due to the differences, software wise, within the Pro over the non Pro but just know, you're starting over if you're coming from the older (wow, it's really not old) radio.

Finally, Hobby King is having another 20% off sale from $200+ orders. May be a good opportunity to snag a Pro.

Great content in this chat keep it coming . Thinking on getting either version of the flysky. Im not sold on the "pivoting" wheel. Has it bean a problem or an adjustment to get used to coming from a standard fixed location wheel? I.e getting in a comfortable spot every time?

Set mine and never move it. Takes a firm push for it to move.

Default Screen contrast

Recently bought the Pro and went out yesterday with a new truck to give them a try. The screen contrast outdoors, with a partly cloudy sky, was terrible. Even when I tried to shade it with my body/hand, I could at best barely make out the details on the screen. I went indoors and turned up the background light to 100%. While it made it brighter indoors, essentially no change when I returned outdoors. Aside from that, I'm really liking this transmitter. After using their GT5 for a year, I thought the purchase of the Pro made sense.

Is it just me or is anyone else seeing this as an issue? I just read this entire thread and didn't see it mentioned.

Thanks,
Stu

I owned a Futaba 4PX and 7PX which also have LCD screens and those have the EXACT same issue; Outdoor screen viability is atrocious on all of them even on full brightness. I'm sure the 7PXR, 7PXLE, 10PX and DX6R all suffer from this same issue. It's a technology issue (type of screen being used) and to be honest, most modern smart phones haven't exactly gotten rid of this issue even with better screen tech in them.

The best type of screen to have on a radio is a monochrome screen. The sunlight visibility/readability on those is outstanding but let's face it, it's not what modern flagships are expected to use. Enjoy your new radio, it's a wonderful piece of RC gear.

Default Evo Board Binding Issues Sorted For Now

It's no secret that some people, myself included, had/have issues binding the Noble Pro to their MiniZ Evo receiver boards and it looks like a solution has been found:

-Update your radio to the latest available firmware, either FCC or Non FCC will work. As of now, the date on the build when checked via the radio menu will be Oct 2021.
-Setup your a new model and pick "Evo" protocol option.
-Update the Evo RX board via the RX menu setting. ONLY DO THIS IF THE BOARD WASN'T PREVIOUSLY UPDATED.
-Start the bind process ON THE BOARD ONLY BUT DON'T HIT THE BIND BUTTON ON THE RADIO. Leave the board in bind mode, you want to wait about 20 seconds before you actually attempt to bind. This is the fix and we aren't sure why.
-Find the RF Option within the menu settings and update the RF.
-Go back to the RX bind menu and at this point at least 20 seconds should have gone by. Now hit bind on the radio and the receiver light should blink steady and you're done. Others have reported that the light still blinks fast but after waiting about 10 seconds after hitting "bind" on the radio and backing out, the RX is bound.

I am getting back into RC after being away for quite some time. I was looking at the NB4 pro or a Futaba like the 4pm. Is the Noble pro worth it over the Futaba?

That is quite a subjective answer due to many reasons like:
Futaba:
-Superb build quality history
-Known for getting excellent range at least on their flagship models
-Tons of programming options, at least on their flagship models
-Name brand recognition and yes, just like people that like to walk around with $250 sneakers, this matters to some
-Some cons: Can get expensive if you like flagship models. Telemetry is expensive if you like to monitor both external voltages and motor temps at minimum as everything requires a separate sensor.

Flysky:
-Questionable build quality history when it comes to surface radios. They made some cheap budget radios, they were good for what they offered but they had build quality issues too. NB4 did have some initial growing pains.
-Excellent value in the NB4 and Pro models. I own both and the Pro offers much more than people realize. Both haven't failed me yet, I've owned the NB4 much longer though.
-Wide range of receivers including receiver prices
-Can get spare parts, at least with the NB4
-Telemetry is CHEAP to use as the external sensors are cheap and were even cheaper before this whole pandemic thing.
-Can run the Pro in 2Channel/2Way mode which allows for super fast response while still being able to use telemetry. I don't know of any other radio that offers this
-With the Pro you can set different frequencies on EACH channel when using the enhanced receivers. You could run 1000hz on one channel and 333 on another

For me, I've owned a 4PX and 7PX and while there is ZERO doubt they were fantastic radios, the Pro offers me more for my needs and I can't see myself going back.

I was even looking at the Sanwa MT5 as I use to have a MX3X 7 years ago that I liked. I know racers seem to like Sanwa and say they feel more connected to the car. Watched reviews by Razor RC and he did not care for the noble nb4 as it had a dead zone in the steering. I am wondering if the pro resolved this? Is the range better with the pro as well? I do like how you can change the frequency for the servo and the speed adjustment is smaller increments vs the regular nb4.

Edit: I made my own thread to see if anyone can compare the sanwa and nb4 pro.

I dont't feel any dead zone on my Pro, none. However, I didn't think I felt a dead zone on my NB4 until I started using the Pro. All I know is that the Pro is incredibly responsive in 2channel/2way mode or 1way mode, faster than anything I've personally used but then again, I never used my Futaba in SR mode with compatible servos. Range is the same on NB4 and Pro.

Thats good to know. The review I watched said he heard it was fixed in the pro version. So you can tell a difference in response between the regular nb4 and the pro with the B receiver?
This is the review on the regular nb4 I am talking about. He talks about the issues around the 10:20 mark.
