Default Hobbywing 1S ESC

I bought a Hobbywing XERUN XR10 pro 1S ESC. 2 issues:

1) It won't let me calibrate it to the transmitter, however, the esc functions with throttle and brake.

2) When I want to shut the ESC off, I have to turn the transmitter off first, then the esc light turns solid red and I can shut it off. It is in the green blinky mode. The transmitter is a Futaba 7PXR.

Thoughts?

Some ESCs need the throttle to be set on reverse on the radio (usually on Futaba). I'd try that first.

Should always turn the ESC off first before the radio.

I did have to reverse the throttle. I can't turn the esc off until the radio is off. Wonder if I should turn off blinky mode?

I don't think adding boost and/or turbo would cure your problem, but you can of course try. Also you might try flashing the firmware...
