Futaba 10PX

Both Futaba and Sanwa produce really amazing radios, and you would not go wrong with either brand. Just buy and use what you want, for whatever reasons you have. It is not for others to decide whether those reasons are valid for you or not. Maybe if you get the chance hold them both in your hand (some prefer the feel of one over the other) and maybe look at the menus / controls (admittedly not Sanwa's strength), but it will be your radio, so you're the only one that has to be happy with that decision. The only bad thing about that is... you cannot "blame" anyone else once that decision is made, either.

I own both radios now. Here are my thoughts on each.
M17
1. better balance and lighter weight
2. Easily adaptable to wireless charging. I don't currently have a need for wireless charging but can see it as a convenience for those who run 2-4 classes in a day.
3. Slightly smaller receivers. It's almost a wash though, both radios now have small receivers.
4. I can get multiple race days from a charge.
5. Price. No reason why the futaba should cost $230 more than the m17.
T10PX
1. Intuitive and easy to navigate menu system
2. Can program servos thru the radio, no external box required.
3. Receivers are 25%-30% smaller than older receivers
4. Radio seems to fit my larger hands better.
5. Very nice high resolution touch screen.

I have not owned any KOPropo radio and haven't seen (m)any within the last couple of years, so I'd guess they are probably still solid (in the past they used to be very good, among the top), but maybe not quite up to the rest any more. But that's just my guess.

Theres no futaba wireless charging option for for the 10PX(there is for the 7 though....) You could install a $20 wireless pad in the housing like is common mod for the M17 but it would require a bit more wore as you'd need an adapter/splitter to attach the charge pad to the battery wiring as the Futaba pack doesn't have a charge port built in like the Sanwa does.

The 10PX uses a 2cell battery, no plug and play wireless charger out there will be able to charge that unless you custom make a circuitry or something. The M17 uses a single cell lipo pack AND has a micro usb port on the battery, thats why it is so easy to adapt wireless charging to it. You can just buy a wireless charging pad, plug it into the USB port and you're done.

For me the T10PX is better. I like the software interface on the T10PX and it fits my hands better. My biggest complaint about futaba was the large receivers, they fixed that on the T10PX. I think futaba receivers stayed the same basic size for 20 years.

I'm still really torn, but now leaning M17. There's just a value proposition there that for someone with no current brand investment and starting from scratch for 3-4 vehicles makes it hard to choose the 10PX or even 7PXR. I'll try to get some more wheel/interface the with the Sanww before I decide, but being able to get a radio, battery and 3 receivers for the price of just a 7PXR w/1 receiver and no battery makes it hard to justify the difference even with a virtually unlimited budget.

I've been w/ Futaba since 1985. -Seriously my first controller when I was like 15 was a Futaba. However I am really leaning towards the Sanwa M17 as an upgrade from my 4px.
Two huge reasons for me:
1) Price, the sanwa is $250 less than the 10px and about $100-$150 less than the 7px
2) Battery drain w/ Futaba is annoying and it is easy to convert M17 to wireless charging.
Price and battery are really what it comes down to for me. Otherwise both suit my needs just fine.
I can easily sell my futaba receivers to fund the price of new sanwa ones.
Had the 10px come w/ wireless and been $675ish in price I would jump on it.

Without wireless charging, the M17 battery sure was a pain in the you-know-where. Now with wireless charging, IMO it has become bearable (still Sanwa needs to do some serious homework for future models).
