Default Avid iCharger cables

Back when I bought my ICharger I also bought a couple Avid charging cables. Finally went to put them to use and they are stupid tight going into the charger. Is this the norm or did I perhaps get an out of spec set?

I did email them, but thought I would check here too.

I have not owned the AVID cables, but I would like to think that a tight fit is a good thing, also want to double check that you're using the 4mm plug into the charger and not the 4mm to 5mm step down end?

Tight to a point is good. Tight to binding not so much. And yes, I'm using the 4mm plug into the charger vs the 4/5 battery end.

Thanks for taking the time to respond though. When the track reopens in the next couple of weeks, I will swap cables with a couple people there and see if the fit is significantly different.
