Default Power Supply Question

This may seem like a stupid question or have an obvious answer but here it goes.
I have a 75amp 900watt power supply, this one: Power Supply

It has 3 sets of output connectors ...I currently have an iCharger X6 connected to one of the male/female output sets, here: Charger

Question, can I connect 2 more X6's to this power unit? ..Actually I would just like to connect 1 more so as to be able to charge 2 batteries simultaneously. I believe that is what the extra outputs are for??
thanks,

Talking Outputs

Yes, the outputs are for hooking something else up. Pit light, soldering station, or even a 12v multiple output power block that can add even more outputs.

Just make sure you don't exceed the output rating of the power supply.

But I wonder why you would think it can not work?

What do you mean?
I didn't think it couldn't work, I was just asking if it could. I suspected the extra outlets were for additional chargers, but wanted to verify w/ others before I purchased a second charger. The additional information (pit lights, usb charger, etc) that can be connected was something I didn't think of or realize (so that was helpful information).

Well, if you couldn't plug chargers and other things into the additional plugs why would the connectors be there?

Logically, if you are asking this question you seek clarity on the purpose of the connectors and the only question you could ask is "Can I plug other stuff into these connectors?" The sole purpose of a connector is to be able to plug stuff into it. On some level you are asking if a connector is a connector. This seems like an odd question for someone in the hobby for any length of time.

If you did not think it would not work, why asking the question? Very weird!
To me such a question looks like you are not sure if it will work.

Yes you can plug in another x6 icharger. But remember that ichargers need a 24volt power supply in order for you to get full power out of them. The icharger x6 with a 12 volt power supply only has about 400 watts of usable power when is enough for the rated 30 amp charge rate for 2s lipos but is not enough to charge 4s or 6s lipos at 30amps.

I think he’s just trying to ask a simple question, but doesn’t know how to exactly explain it. I’m guessing he’s just trying to ask if the power supply is going to be ENOUGH to run all say 2 or 3 units, AT THE SAME TIME!!
That’s pretty much what he was trying to ask in the very first post, last paragraph.
He understood what the connectors are, but didn’t understand if they could power what he had in mind based on the output, or as someone else mentioned, to power the unit in question to its full potential. Or in basic terms, can the power supply handle the load?
Quit bashing the guy for Pete’s sake!!

Thank you, this makes sense. I only charge 1 and 2s lipo's so this should be sufficient to power 2.

Isn't that the purpose of this forum, to ask questions? I just wanted to know the purpose of having 3 sets of outputs on my power supply, I suspected it was for multiple devices yet wanted to be sure ...hence I thought I'd ask. geesh!

I just wanted to verify that the extra connecters were for additional charge units. I have seen many people over the years use power supplies yet do not recall seeing multiple charge units connected to 1 supply unit (so it didn't seem obvious to me). I also didn't want to assume the power supply could support multiple charge units and pay $100 for an additional charge unit only to have it not work or to ruin my power supply. Sorry it seems so obvious to you. I didn't think there would be anything wrong w/ asking a simple question. I have had my question answered, thank you to those who were helpful.

For those who seem really bothered with my question I will gladly leave this thread. Feel free to argue amongst yourselves about the integrity and simplicity of my question.

To know how many chargers you can hookup you just need to calculate watts used per battery/charger. That's the highest voltage per battery and highest amps. Like 30a charging a 8.4v 2s pack.

8.4 x 30a is 252 watts. A 4.35v 1s x 30a is 130.5 watts.

So whatever watts you into each pack take that out of 900watts your supply can do. You can easily charge 3 8.4v packs at 30a each 4 chargers if you stay at or below 25 a per charger.

Then if you have like a 12w light or 15w phone charger you'll know you have enough watts to run everything. Easy math.

You have 900 watts to work with. You could plug 15 chargers into the power supply and as long as the wattage they consume is less than 900 you would be fine. The concept of wattage is something you should understand after more than a couple years in the hobby.
