Default Hobbywing 1080 WP crawler esc calibrating problems

Hi guys......having problems with calibrating the esc to my stock radio (enduro transmitter/reciever AE XP100). There is power, there is steering. When I hold the set button and turn on the esc to calibrate... beeping and flashing happens. I know that means I am in the calibrating mode. Then, I press the set button for neutral. flashing and beeping stops. Then, when I hold full throttle and push the esc set button.. esc does not respond. ESC is on but after setting neutral I cannot get to setting up full throttle and full reverse. Any help will be appreciated.

Make sure the throttle trim is set to 0 before trying to calibrate the ESC. If this doesn't help, also try the throttle reversing switch before calibrating.

Also make sure that throttle dual rate knob is set to maximum or 100% during calibration. Here should be a link to the transmitter manual in case you don't have one..

For one of my transmitters I had to play around with the throttle trim (I had to move it back a little towards reverse) before it'll accept the neutral position.

All 4 response are correct. Make sure trims set at 0. Direction st servo correct, if notrev you st servo. If it still doesn't calibrate. You may have to change direction of motor. Switck cables of A and B. This will change the direction of motor. Then try again to calibrate. Good Luck!!

Got it to work!!!

For owners of a RTR Element RC Enduro Sendero/Trailwaler with XP100 with the Reedy 16T 5 slot motor:

Upgrading to the HW 1080WP crawler esc is a bit tricky.

To have the esc calibrate, you have to solder the motor wires correctly.
Blue wire goes to the positive terminal of the motor. (red dot on the can, next to the terminal)

Esc wire goes to channel 2 and servo goes to channel 1 (black(negative) is close to the edge of the receiver)
In you XP100 Transmiiter have your throttle trim at 12 o clock and the throttle dual rate at 100% ,
AND IMPORTANT Set your Throttle switch at "N" for normal NOT "R" for reverse.

Follow this guy's calibrating instruction

MPORTANT Set your Throttle switch at "N" for normal NOT "R" for reverse.

Had a another friend last week his Mamba Monster X 8S didn't want to calibrate also. Told him Switch wires on motor A and C, Easiest way to change direction on motor to change setup on TX. He was using Futaba 4PVL. He found he can reverse on differ channels. Ch 2 was on REV. He then change it to NOR. Your RTR said N and R. The problem of you and my friend for soldering A,B,C wrongly. Human error!! lollllll!!!! You learn something today. Have difficulty in calibrating your ESC Check your wiring first. on any calibration ESC
