Yeah, price is too steep. I'm just gonna pull the trigger on the noble nb4. It'll be my third ome, plus it comes with 2 receivers each. It almost feels dumb to buy receivers separately. I know having 1 transmitter is smart but I let friends and family drive my cars too so having separate transmitters is why.

Makes me like my old one even more.

Too rich

More than double the price is way too much.
It will me the old NB4 for me too.

The handle and holder parts will probably be available for those who want them.

I just got my nb4 due to adaptability with mini z fhss. It’s a second radio to my Futaba 4pk but now I think it’s better besides the weight. I thought they will release a much better radio with the pro like upgraded screen quality and more grip options or somehow cut out more weight. What you really get is just accessories you don’t really need. The case is a nice touch though. 😂

Not a bad idea, you get ~$70 in receivers for $200. I'm too cheap though, and would rather get the $30 Flysky GT3B for other drivers. :D

Also I don't want another FGR4. If they came with two FGR4S or FGR4P then maybe. FGR4 is massive and doesn't fit in anything I own.

Considering everything the Pro comes with, and considering the number of channels is supports, the price is NOT all that bad. One of the included Rxs is an 8Ch, which will cost more than the 4Ch units included with the NB4. Plus, even if the additional items do become available separately, the price is them (plus the NB4, plus a case) could end up costing almost as much as the Pro. Of course, there are also (other) design changes, which the NB4 will probably never see. Finally, for what it is, and comparing it against other top Txs (Futaba 7PX, the soon-to-be-released T10PX, Sanwa M17, whatever the replacement will be for the Spektrum DX6R), the Noble Pro is an excellent deal. It just depends on what you're comparing it to

Why??? Especially when the GT3C fixes (almost) all the problems of the GT3B.

If you want runaways and interference then sure, go ahead and get one of the AFHDS 1 radios.

I'm pretty sure this thing will be sub 300$ very soon

Been looking...but, so far, I'm coming up empty-handed. If anyone finds these listed for purchase from a REPUTABLE seller (preferably an online retailer, NOT an 'individual' seller), PLEASE post the link(s) for everyone.

Just talked to my LHS owner (US distributor for flysky). They have the nb4 pros coming in, along with various other receivers including the mini-z antenna module (see link below). The prices are high compared to bangood and other overseas sellers, but not too bad (maybe 20% higher). Got my Nb4 (normal) from them, fast shipping (I mean its in already in the US), and at least if I have an issue with it, I can get it warrantied or something. And, at least I'll know I'm supporting my local track/shop.

As for the NB4 Pro, doesn't really look worth it, the standard version is still way better value.

For my use (only for my boats, as I have a Futaba 7PX for my land vehicles), I'm starting to think the NB4 is the better/smarter way to go. Plus, my LHS (NorCal Hobbies) also carries them. Although, truth-be-told, I might put my Spec Slash on it, as well...anything to get it off the TQi Tx.

Up against other radios for features and latency, I think its worth $375-400. My issue is the warranty support. When I got my NB4, I felt like it was an amazing value, but a bit of a roll of the dice on long term reliability. And, maybe I could get support, but I wouldnt be surprised if there was none. I just sort of accepted that. And, if my NB4 died, I'd get another one tomorrow. I don't feel the same way about a $400 radio. I'm going to need some decent product support at that price. That's what "Pro" means to me, if you're going to take it to the track, it needs to be very reliable hardware and should have good support options. That said, I am pretty happy with the ongoing NB4 firmware and fixes. So, if Flysky gets behind their distributors and can reasonably quickly repair or replace TX's like Spektrum and the others, then $400ish might be ok.

You can buy parts directly from FlySky now.

True, and that's awesome. Although, some parts I needed for other TXs were not available, I hope you can get more parts for the Pro.

This may address the support, it looks like they are trying to do better.

I cant wait to get my hands on the Nr4‐GYB!

Have had my NB4 for almost 2yrs with zero issues racing TC and GT12 every week, I did buy a couple extra of the FGr4s V2 receivers and see no need for the "PRO" upgrade IMHO.

Timw 10-15-2021 06:07 AM

I guess my point is that if you go back to the first pages of this thread, you see people doing their own disassembly and diagnosing because Flysky wasn't that helpful with issues. On their brand new $200 radios. This thread alone has greatly improved my ownership experience. Service appears to have improved greatly. or will soon. The NB4 is much more reliable than the ITS4 it replaced, even the Kyosho branded version of that could be flakey. But, yeah, my NB4, GT5 and IT4s have been reliable, I'm 100% all in on Flysky radios now.
