FGr4S supports ibus, not ibus2.

Just a quick question, since i'm a bit too dense to grasp the concept apparently.
Got an NB4 (standard, there was nothing else back then) - trying to figure out the whole ibus thing. Or, more specifically/importantly, ibus2. I did update the radio yesterday to their latest firmware, but for the life of me, i can't figure out if the standard NB4 supports ibus2 - and what i need to be able to use it. Reason being, i'd like to upgrade one of my crawlers to an Axe R3, which is "programmable via ibus2". Are FGR4S receivers/standard NB4 capable of ibus2? https://www.flysky-cn.com/fgr4dspecifications Once you specifiy the enhanced receiver when binding in your model selection - all the available functionality opens up. I've been using the gen1 NB4 with enhanced receivers for my race vehicles and leveraging the increased servo speed and response rates it provides. |
Can someone help explain to me all of the receivers that are compatible with the NB+? This information doesn’t seem to be centralized in one area that's readily available and fresh.
Just looking to understand what the available options are out there, the use cases for each one, and how reliable each receiver type is (both physically but also with runaways, etc.). |
what receiver would you recommend for 8th scale onroad/offroad?

FlySky receivers ALL of the AFHDS3 receivers are grouped together, no different than any of the SlySky receivers running the other FlySky protocols. |
OR... when you click ACCESSORIES on the NB4plus page, all compatible receivers are shown.

Unfortunately, this only covers 4 out of the 16 receivers (not counting Mini-Z & drone received), so it doesn't provide the Op accurate info. The link I provided earlier shows ALL compatible receivers.

Off-road: FGr4B |
And what’s the biggest driver for the ‘b’ series receiver for 1/8 off-road? Would the ‘s’ series be sufficient?
also, it looks like the FGR4B only has a single antenna. Is a dual antenna important for reducing interference issues at the track, especially for nitro (since it has a higher chance of interference with more servos)? |
NB4 DELETED ALL OF MY CARS:
Most annoying day of Racing today. In between my 2wd and 4wd heats my Flysky decided to delete all 11 cars and all the settings causing me to rebind 3 cars at the track and guess at all the steering and throttle settings to get through the day. Of course now all my other cars for Dirt Oval, On road etc. are also gone and I have to start over...... I was really close to throwing the radio as far as I could if not for having 11 receivers in 11 cars...........total PITA. Anyone else ever have this happen? And no I don't have a computer backup as it connects to my MacBook at 1995 speeds or slower........and it has never taken a successful firmware update from the horrible Flysky web portal. |
