For Muchmore’s jacked up price for the same receiver one might as well just purchase the official Sanwa
|
No, just buy another clone, Muchmore and Amains jacked up Ruddog price is a bit price gouging as they are from the same source as the generic ones.

Any update on the long-term performance and reliability of the ARX-482R? They are very cheap on Amazon right now and thinking about picking one up
Mine has never missed a beat after a year in my 2wd buggy. |
Fh3 vs Fh4t
Picked up a ARX-472. I hope to see an improvement in speed versus my Sanwa 380.

Quick update on the ARX-482R from Amazon.
I've had 2 race nights with this receiver and it is nothing short of incredible. I switch from one of the Sanwa waterproof sport receivers and The performance of the ARX is the same or better in a much smaller footprint. This allowed me to rearrange my electronics area and move my battery forward in my B5M. This will now be my go-to Sanwa compatible receiver. |

I paid up a bit, and ordered the AGFrc ARX-482R receiver from Amazon in order to be here with radio arrives tomorrow. |
I have 4 of the ARX-482R now. I found a place on Ali that had them for $16! each for a short while. They all work great with my m12s

Has anyone opened the cases and compared the circuit boards between the real Sanwa 482 and a clone? Would love to see a pic.

The problem I see here is, Who's going to test them and how? I spent some time last year trying to come to terms with all of this radio speed stuff and I got nowhere. As far as I can tell, you'd need an almost lab grade equipment setup to do any kind of meaningful testing. Maybe I'm wrong but I gave up on it.

Lets be real. If that's the sort of evidence you need, you'll probably never buy a clone anyways. Clone boards could change from batch to batch and have no guarantee even if tested extensively. If you're the sort who needs rock solid guarantees of performance you're probably better off just buying the real thing.

Wanted to say thanks for all the input in this thread. I just ordered some receivers to go with an MTs and I saved a good bit of money.
Much appreciated. |

Then why bother commenting on a thread when it could be a helpful thread for people looking to save a few $$. The more people enjoying the hobby at a range of price points is going to be great for us all. If you are the driver that notices the difference and have the budget to spend the extra money, good for you, keep to your threads. Let's be supportive to all and find ways that more can enjoy and keep the hobby thriving.

Just trying to get people to not waste their money. The savings are minimal. If you want to save money, buy a used genuine Sanwa receiver, they are available all the time. I think receivers are something you should never compromise on.

That is obviously your opinion. If you have experience with them then please share. Otherwise, I have used them as it sounds like a lot of others without any issues. That was the point of the thread. If someone is looking to save a few $$, they are a good option.

A new antennaless receiver from DasMikro, smaller and lighter then RX-482 coming in just under 5g
DasMikro Antenna-less SANWA FH3 FH4 Compatible Receiver https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...2dff39cf58.jpg https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...6363bbc958.jpg |
Wow, even smaller and one quarter of the price. Amazing.
|
Purchased. I needed a Rx for a TT-02B.

Hi all, has anyone got any feedback on these Dasmicro Sanwa knockoffs?
NetcruiserRC channel tried one in his Arrma and had nothing bad to say about it. Packaging suggests a bind plug instead of a binding button. Keen to hear on anyone's experiences. I'm considering one for 1/10 2wd e-buggy. |
I got a couple from Banggood as they were cheaper for 2 than a Sanwa rx and so far so good. No instructions so took a bit of searching to bind them, but now they work well. Just going in some Tamiya rereleases so performance doesn't really matter, as long as they work. I've also only had them for a few weeks so can't comment on longevity

anyone have any experience with the MRX-482? it seems to be a Sanwa 482, but made my MuchMore and supports 8.4v. i have one coming and hoping it works well. i'm planning to put it in a ten-scte 3.0 with Maclan MMax8 200a 1/8th esc (8.4v bec setting), Protek 170SBL, Maclan MR4 3500 motor, and Maclan 2S V3 HV 8500mah battery. That would make all of the electronics HV compatible and get crazy torque/response from the servo without having to externally step down the voltage to components.
edit: the more i think about this the more i'm thinking 8.4v bec is really there for 4s powered setups. i don't think it would have the intended use with 2s. |

Will definitely have to keep an eye on that one. They should have at least put some kind of graphic sticker on the receiver.

Bought a sanwa mt44. After reading through this thread most comments are pro clone receivers so I ordered 2 of the arx-482r and 2 of the dasmicros. With the money I saved off buying genuine I could've bought another 6!
|
I am going to give a DasMikro receiver a try. For the price, if it works great, than I can't complain. It will be a while before I can test it out though, even after getting it in the mail (so long as it isn't too delayed)
|
I bought the DasMikro and can confirm that it works with my MT-44. I haven't been able to run on a track yet. But it definitely works good in the backyard.
|
Will the DasMikro work in an MX-V?

https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...0c462c4526.jpg Just got my dasmikro in today, did a quick swap in one of my cars and did a makeshift range test. Paired it to my m12s and had zero issues. I was hoping I would be able to test it while on a track in a race next weekend, but that might be on hold because of Michigan. Otherwise, from a quick test, it works great |
Would I be correct in assuming that if it works with an M12S it must work with an MX-V? Thanks..
Edit - Nevermind. Answered in the question section on BG - negative.. |
My DasMicro is DOA. Gonna buy a ARX-482R instead
|
Just got one of these..
seems quite nice. JST plugs go in a little easier so will have to keep an eye on them in case they migrate. Otherwise seems equal quality to oem sanwa. Pretty excellent overall. Amazon reviews about sum it up. Glad these exist, half the price of oem!

Is anyone making knock off Futaba receivers?

Key word, "compatible". And, yes they are out there. I know of FASST, and S-FHSS compatible versions.

Check out my unboxing and review of the ARX-482R.
|
Which of these are SSL compatable? I would like to program my Sanwa servo
thank you |
