My problem is that I hooked up and binded the dasMikro receiver to the ESC but as soon as I turn the wheels the blue light shut off and now my ESC won't recognize my other receiver that worked fine before I tried to use this one. Anyone ran into this and know what's wrong or how to make my ESC recognize my receiver again?

Haven't had that issue. Which receiver did you have?

I'm trying to envision how the receiver blows the BEC? An internal short?

Silverbullet555 09-18-2023 10:19 AM

They now have a FH4 V3 which is using the FH5 V2 case.

A short is the only thing that makes sense.

Any other updates on the Das Mikro fh5 V2 receivers before I order?

I should have been more specific. I'll edit my post. I was referring to the Das Mikro FH5 version. I have the FH4 ones. Sorry.

jabroni racing 10-12-2023 02:32 PM

I just meant i never went with the Das mikro knock off ones, after reading different reviews i went with the other ones and ive had no issues ..

FH4 ones seem to be reliable but the question was about FH5.

i guess this is why they launched a version 2 in such a short period, say in a few weeks time.
and the upcoming sanwa RX-49T end of Oct, it will be very competitive (price wise) to this clone, especially selling in some asian countries.

I wonder what they've done to cut the price on that one.

with telemetry but the temp and rpm sensor features were taken away which is said to use with the sanwa's esc (super vortex)at this moment, i guess they just disable the function in the "ic"

Telemetry is such a sad joke. Is there any RPM or temperature that works with a 493 without a Sanwa ESC? I didn't do enough research on the telemetry part it's still a sore spot.

That is tempting.

M11X and M12S

So , I have and like the older Sanwa radios , what receiver would be best for both ? The 481 or the 482 ?
Also , the lipo battery fail safe issue with these , I shouldn’t have to worry about that as you can program your lipo cutoff in your esc , correct ?
The m11x I haven’t used in years and just picked up the m12s , thus the reason for the questions, I’ve been using a different remote for my off-road stuff and would like to use one of the 2 sanwas for my onroad cars . Thnx in advance .

I don't know of any non-genuine Sanwa compatible receivers labeled as a "481".

i think you misunderstood the previous response, this thread is for the Non sanwa receiver, basically the knock offs they wont label them with sanwa numbers such as 481 or 482, just fh3 or fh4 for example. .. if your looking for a fh4 or fh3, you can search for the knock offs.

Knock offs regularly do use the 482 number though.

My Dasmikro 492 v2 clone arrived today. It has the same issue as the previous one, radio brownouts on my car with a weak BEC. My genuine Sanwa FH5 receivers as well as my 482 clones all handle the same test just fine.

jabroni racing 11-25-2023 04:46 AM

Still loving mine, run 2wh, 4wh and 1/8, still not one issue :-) Never tried Dasmikro though.when i find something that works i stick with it

Are any of yours FH5? As far as I know Dasmikro are the only ones that have cloned FH5 so far. And the FH4 ones are solid, that's not an issue. It's specific to the FH5 models.

rustyus 11-25-2023 12:30 PM

gigaplex, what particular ESC are you thinking has a weak BEC?

I had a similar issue with my v2 clone and a Savox servo (power hungry and known for brownouts). Adding a cap into the receiver fixed this issue for me.

why does it say futaba

platgof 12-19-2023 11:37 AM

I picked up a Das Mikro rx and it works great on FH3. Had a problem with DH4 and could care less. I bought two RX-472 that would not bind, and at least this one does. I will not buy another new or used RX-472 when I know this one will work. Plan on buying at least one more. I checked the range and it is fine, over 200 feet. I had a rough week having two rxs fail and a soldering iron, but all is good now as I replaced them.

I have the das mikro ones as well, and the AGF is much better build quality.

A very nice bonus feature is that this receiver actually supports SSL telemetry for my Sanwa ESC when plugged into the BATT port.
This is not mentioned in the instructions or marketing materials explicitly, but worked when I tried it just now.
Motor temps and RPM are coming in crystal clear, I haven't tried ESC settings yet though.

was you able to to do telementry with all the ESC settings as well after testing further?
