Just ordered this Powerstar receiver from Ebay instead of the Hobbystar one for a new build since I had an issue with my Hobbystar HRX 472

Just want to update, I noticed the reason the internal receiver plug board came loose on my Hobbystar HRX 472 was because the RX case was separating and I did not realize it. Snapped it back together and so far so good 👍🏼

Props to RCjuice, fast delivery and great packaging.

I just got the Powerstar RS472HV receiver. Tested on an Sanwa MT-4. FH4T works, and the radio is able to read the voltage off the receiver.
I am also running it on "HV" mode off a Hobbywing QuicRun 1080 ESC. Works well.

Muchmore just released one as well. Not much data on their page yet.

I have ARX-482 and same from coltech both working fine in racing condition. SSR and shr working corectly. And also SSL (VIA bat port) od working with Vortex zero telemetry and programing.

AW106 05-13-2019 12:24 AM

I have a small update on the SMD SRX2 (And I'd presume others using this case as I highly doubt they are different inside)
I've had cases of the car loosing connection to the transmitter (Exzes X) and running away at two tracks. Both of these have metal link fencing in close proximity to the track (i.e 2 ish car withs from the edge)
Unfortunaly I do not own a genuine Sanwa internal antena reciver to compare to but I think it might be a limit of the internal antena recivers in general rather than these specific ones and the cars have worked fine with a pair of Sanwa recivers with wire antenas

How is your receiver mounted?

Post a pic.

It's been positioned between the servo and ESC with the high side of the reciver facing the outside of the car. I've always had my recivers in more or less the same spot in a touring car and the SRX2 has shown no issues positoned here indoors
(Will update with Image once I'm back home. For now this is close to how mine is

Please, help needed !
I cannot bind my M17 transmitter with my RX491 receiver.
I'm following the procedure : led of the receiver is rapidly flashing when it is connected with the transmitter on bind mode selection, but even after 5 minutes, the light of the receiver never get glows and bind is not done.
I tried several time but still the same..

Receiver connection :
CH1 : steering
CH2 : ESC
SSL : bing plug

Transmitter selection :
RF Mode : FH5
Response mode : SHR (with a SRT BH9027 servo)

Is there something I have missed or doing wrong ?

Thank you for your help.

Please ask in the M17 Thread please: https://www.rctech.net/forum/radio-e...tl-pistol.html

This is the thread for non Sanwa branded (Sanwa Compatible) receivers.

Thank you

Just got the Hobbystar 482R (antenna-less) it is working perfect so far. I have the Hobbystar 471 in my buggy and I haven’t had any issues with it after a couple months of racing.

savage24x 06-07-2019 11:28 AM

I bought two of those same receivers for my MTS transmitter. They've worked well over the last three months. Bought from aliexpress too. Shipping only took like a week.

yodace 06-27-2019 08:15 PM

Where did u order from ? I can’t seem to find them online

Muchmore team driver. I would think these will be at A-main soon just like all their other items. Sorry for the late reply.

cedric02 07-05-2019 05:19 AM

Hi,

does those compatible receiver have the telemetry ? ( At least the voltage, like a real rx-482 )

thanks

cedric

Khargulec 07-05-2019 03:26 PM

Yes, with sanwa ESC. Rpm, volt, ESC temp, motor temp.

Yes my RX voltage shows up on my transmitter just like the RX482 for both the Hobbystar HRX and the Powerstar receivers I have :-)

Teeyo 07-07-2019 04:45 PM

IMO the Powerstar RS472E is the one to get. The price is the best out of the others and mine has been working amazing for the last 3 months now. And the case looks great! Great customer service from the eBay dealer in Florida too.

mocrawlin 07-12-2019 09:19 PM

Powerstar reciever from RaceVTA, do they stock them in Florida? Or will it come from Hong Kong or some place? Don’t want to wait till August to receive one. LoL will be using with my MT4 in

mine came from Florida. Installed it today and it practically bound itself. LoL works like a charm with my MT-4 in FHSS4T mode. https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...397cdf5a0.jpeg And it’s Tiny!

What did RCJuice do?

big paul 09-09-2019 06:59 AM

check bang-good out.

Lonestar 09-11-2019 12:21 AM

Just ordered a couple of $30 slidelogy's SDY-0191, supposedly 482 clones... will let you guys know :)

Lonestar 09-18-2019 01:21 AM

Installed the first slidelogy, the bench testing seems to work fine. And that bind button instead of the jumper plug makes the pairing a breeze. Need to go test at the track now :)

Lonestar 10-01-2019 05:37 AM

Have run a pack with the slidelogy, and seems to be doing very fine. Great purchase so far... hope the other 2 I bought are just as ok as this one! :D

1/8 IC Fan 10-01-2019 06:07 AM

Thats awesome, crazy to think that these alternatives for the price fit the bill just fine. My son runs one in his NT1 and obe in his DXF 1:8 car, and the have held up zhrough the season, even with high draw servos.

Dstreelm 01-16-2020 03:49 PM

Any update on the long-term performance and reliability of the ARX-482R? They are very cheap on Amazon right now and thinking about picking one up
