I'm not sure about how warm it was. I was more focused on swapping it out in time for qualifying.

This happened on 6V and 7.4V.

Any experience with this servo? I picked one up to either use in my Clod Buster or one of my crawlers. Waterproof, really good specs, and was cheap. I already have it, just wondering what y'all's thoughts are.

I threw 2 of these in my Mbx7T. So far they work great, no complaints. Since they've proven themselves, I wanna replace them with the B3 Power HD servos and throw these in my buggy.

Quick update on my Blue Bird. I mailed the defective servo back to Flight Comp and Ali mailed me a replacement today. He said he hasn't had a chance to dig into the one I sent back yet but I'll update if he finds something.

At least customer service is good which is a plus.

Saw this and thought I'd add in my choice for cheaper servos. I've personally had great luck with the hobbyking Trackstar and Turnigy servos for use in 1/10 racing. I currently have a Turnigy TGY-R12 fitted to my TA07ms which has felt great so far. My retro TB-02 uses a TrackStar TS-D99X which for the price is one of my favourites to have as a spare as well.
I have several of thier now discontined fully alloy case ones (they replaced it with a new version) and have never felt any issues with these even after a few years of running

I'm using PowerHD servos on my kits.

L-12HV - Digital, waterproof, all-aluminum casing, low-profile, coreless, titanium gears, high speed @0.06secs. $60 - installed on my FF03

Both servos are working great!

Just to add another option to the list.
AGF Servo. They have many option at several price range. From coreless potentiometer servo to brushless magnetic encoder servo.

I just ordered mine which is supposed to arrive around this week but we have a national holiday this week. So, it will be here on next week.

This is the model I ordered. Ordered it for $79 shipped.https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...2f450a0051.jpg

I bought it directly from their factory sales rep. You can find her here.

Also if you guys can take a look at inside of the servo in the video below. Its a different model, but the system is almost similar.

Installed my replacement BLS-29A today. It's light in fast compared to the Evo P2 I had to use while getting it replaced. RC Pro should be a good test for it this weekend. :)

Sorry... I know its been a while. I just dont hv time to make a review.

Yes I did received the servo in a good condition.

The performance is great. The movement of the servo is super smooth. There is no slop at the gear at all.

The quality is really good. Even the grommet, eyelet and plastic servo horn is great.

If u like to use grommet and eyelet for the servo, theres a good news for u because the eyelet is for M3 screw.

Comes in a sealed plastic case

https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...4d4a30f6b5.jpg
Specs for the servo. Rated for HV 8.4v

With form like that, should be no damage during shipping.

It feels great to hold

https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...1bde11c1a1.jpg
Even the tidbits is good quality. The supplied screws are all hex screw

https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...554dbdd48f.jpg
The 4 screw at the bottom have o ring install

https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...6375652ba7.jpg
Theres also o ring at the bottom plate

https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...2071a462c1.jpg
The yellow color is a plastic sheet. The board are covered with conformal coating. This servo is rated IP67 after all.

https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...fbd5db6c7c.jpg
Sadly I cannot open the gear side because that 2 screws is H1.3 which I dont have any

https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...371d937838.jpg
I hv tried run it without the grommet. It can withstand the abuse. Set the servo saver a bit loose for longetivity.

Just another additional plus. The wires are all black except the sensor lead which in gray. I like the stealth look of the wires.

Yup! that link does lead you to where you can get the replacement gears. :)

I now have 2 of my TRX4 rock crawlers steered by this JX CLS-12V7346, used and being abused - still no known issues so far.
