Ran that Same Servo in 1:10 F1, works pretty well. I think you may like it. Performs well, and no "Noise" / Chatter. Radio used is Sanwa.

I'd not consider PowerHD a no-name brand. Not only do they offer great quality (Storm and B series), they are the servos of choice of various very fast touring car drivers, e.g. Marc Rheinard. Futaba's servos are also made in China by the way, and IIRC from all RC manufacturers only KoPropo continues to manufacture their servos in Japan.
I tried the PowerHD Storm4 (black) and the only thing I did not like was the Storm logo on its case. Great performance and pricing! When I tested a Powerstar low-profile servo, it would not properly return to its center position, and accordingly I'd not buy one of these or recommend them to anyone. |
Well, that is because not to long ago Power HD was a unknown china brand, and the servos were readily available from Amazon and such at a good price. Now they are popular and mainstream and the prices went up, which the distribution has went down. The servos now cost ~ 25-50% more than they used to via alibaba, ATees etc.

I'm interestes with the Storm-4 and B4. But what is the difference? From the specs, they look similar but the storm is more expensive

JX servos are very decent for the price, however I would caution to only get the "Coreless" or "Brushless" versions of their servos, the generic servos tend to glitch and have poor signal response. I have also found that JX servo gears tend to last about a year before they start to get slop in the spline and eventually strip. It's very difficult to find replacement gear sets for JX making their products disposable. I have slowly made it a personal preference to only select a servo which has replacement gear sets available.
