And which ones might those be? I've looked through the line and they're pretty clearly AGF throughout.

Maybe they are KST...but who actually cares. |
Apparently you do

Maybe they are KST...but who actually cares. You can tell from the case design, the specs, the packaging, and the included accessories. Power Hobby seems to have done some customization with the cases and the torque/speed for some of their servos which is nice to see. Better to have something unique than just a simple rebrand with nothing new. |
Some more AGFrc footage. My truggy and the 2 buggies in this video are all running the 36kg.

Well, after a year and a half, I had a gear failure with my Blue Bird BLS-30A servo. After a crash I lost steering, and the servo sounded like it was skipping. I thought I must've broken off a tooth, but something stranger had happened. As you can see in the one of the pictures bellow, the gear that sits on top of the motor pinion is made of two pieces that are press fit together. The top part came loose, so it wasn't turning with the bottom part. I also noticed that the two small screws holding the motor to the middle case had come a bit loose, so I cleaned them and put them back in with some threadlock.
Gear sets are about $10, so I'll be ordering a couple of them through Red Wing to get this fixed up. Otherwise I'm impressed by the construction of the servo. There are brass inserts in the top and mid case for the gear pins to seat in, and these should prevent slop from developing like it does when the pins are riding directly in the aluminum case. https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...62856c7246.jpg https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...d419b43218.jpg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...9166c95966.jpg https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...e8de2f052a.jpg |
Any idea how many packs on it after a year and a half?

I haven't been keeping track but I'd guess around 100.

I hear SPT servos getting recommended a lot, and even the reviews make them look good... except the reviews are all from people with maybe a pack run through them, no long term feedback.
I got one of the low-profile 12kg models a few months ago for my drag car and it seems to have trouble centering now. It will randomly need to move from -1 to 0 or back on my steering trim. I thought maybe it had slipped teeth on the horn, but it looks fine. Could it be something internal or is that what I get out of a $14 servo? |
i had a savox wire go bad on my nt48 this weekend and swapped in a nitro pro 460 i had to get through the day.
im thinking about the bluebirds but wish they were black lol may just get a power hd for now. Its for steering/brake so im not super concerned |
