it sounds like you guys put more miles on these then the average guy.
hell 10-15 race days gets me through a season at this point in my life lol. for the price would you say they are worth it? most servos are a rebrand of something either way lol sounds like youre giving a very fair assessment of the longevity of these in a seemingly "harsh" environment My new EB48 2.0 has 58 packs on it and it was built 4 months ago. |

I don't really feel that we're exposing these servos to a "harsh environment" per se, simply because we rarely break our cars and most of us are close to 98% consistency, though we do get more grip than most other tracks I've raced at, and Thornhill uses hard pipe that has no flex plus the larger jumps will put extra stress on the servos with hard chassis slaps, etc... so I get your point with that being a "harsh environment". Many racers are running more expensive high end servos without issue and that's where we have to rationalize the concept of "You get what you pay for" to a point... so threads like this help others discuss their experiences with lesser known brands to find that "diamond in the rough". I believe that SRT is a brand that I'd consider a diamond in the rough where an average joe can get a sponsor deal with Dialed Hobbies and get SRT, HobbyWing, Trinity, 6MIK, etc...for a tremendous value! |

So far the nitro pro in my 22x4 has held up and the 550 in my mbx7r eco is strong. |
I've got some goodies on the way to replace my AGF servos. ;)

I got the new servos installed today. The quality of the machining, the accessories, the etching, and just everything about them is top notch. I'm looking forward to racing with them this weekend. I've got the stronger BLS-34AWB steering my etruggy, the BLS-27AWB steering my nitro buggy, and the BLS-30A steering my ebuggy.

Seriously, those servos are the dog’s danglies! I’m gonna check them out. |
All of the Blue Birds worked great in the 3 cars I raced today. I could definitely feel a difference going from a 0.08s AGF to the 0.05s Blue Bird in my buggy and from the 0.12s AGF to the 0.08s Blue Bird in my truggy. I think 40 minutes worth of mains really put the one in my nitro buggy go the test and it passed. :)

Just wrapped up a 2 day trophy race on a brand new layout and did pretty well with the new ET48 2.0. Pretty impressed with how the AGFrc 36kg wheels that thing around the track.
Between my friends and my son and I we we've been running a total of 7 AGFrc servos and they're still going strong. https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...a7de9c9a58.jpg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...b6630daed0.jpg |
Footage from one of the truggy mains yesterday. Pretty impressed with how the AGFrc handles a 9lb truggy.

couple weeks ago at a local trophy race i was sitting in TQ in mod wheeler. i think i had TQ by almost a lap. felt real good heading into the main. as luck would have it, i remember it as "tapping" a pipe on the second lap and my protek 160T stripped out. bought replacement gears, but don't feel comfortable with that. i initially bought an SRT low profile servo. as i thought about it more, i wasn't comfortable with the specs of the servo. seems it's more of an on road type servo and they don't offer a "torque" version of the low profile servo from what i can tell. so i ended up also ordering a powerhobby servo off of amazon for the same price i paid for the SRT. the specs i'm sure are inflated as 400oz/in torque from a low profile servo (at 7.4v) seems a bit out of whack, but even if it's out of whack, it should have much more than the SRT (180 oz/in). yes, i know. in theory, 180 oz/in should be more than enough for 1/10 buggy (shoot, when i first started racing the savox 1258 was the goto for 4x4 SC and it had 160ish from what i remember).
to be fair, that protek has been in that buggy for about 3 seasons. lots of track time. so i'm not down on the protek servos, but i'm excited to try the powerhobby unit. |
