Cars that are easier to drive are going to make mistakes magnify themselves, since more teams will be able to run competitively. Besides, a one hour sprint at the end between multiple teams might add to the excitement, since the other races were decided well before the last hour.

But if the cars are too slow, as what ran on the track this weekend, then nightime drama be it mechanical breakdown/driver error will pretty much be null and void. Sure the lap times may be somewhat similar, but that is coming from a better suspension. When a mini, like yours Barry, runs faster laptimes than the proposed/experimental car there is a problem

We could always do a direct comparison - this year's package against the 2012 race package. I still have the Jackson R/C 2012 car sitting in my basement...
I'm pretty sure the Mini would outrun the TT01 too...
