What 1/12 should i get??
To all my 1/12 scale racers: I am trying to decide what car to get. Right now I am thinking about
1. Gen X
2. Speedmerchant Rev.5
3. AE 12R5
I dont want something that's going to be to difficult to get working. Let me know what you guys think.
Thanks

well you know my first pick would be the new bmi db12rr. easy to drive and i got a killer setup. but defenitely my second choice would be ae 12r5 that car is sweet and cheap and easy to setup. the gen x can be evil if not tweaked perfect and the rev 5 got that complicated front end that only donny knows how to make work i really like the dampening side shock on the 12r5. if i was ever to switch rides i would go ae all the way

it is hard to argue w/ the year or year performance of both the Speed Merchant and CRC cars. the associated 12r5 did just win the worlds (asphalt track) with a bunch of custom parts. the Speed Merchant might have some non-std parts but they are all apart of the 'Lia-spec' model.

Jerry man - do the right thing. just ask Donny to hook you up w/ a lia-spec Rev.5. he will do up the car right w/ the small JR3650 servo drilled out (drilling the servo is the worst part on the Rev.5). the Rev.5 front end is da bomb (i hate the IRS lowered arms used on many 1/12th scale cars). if i were to run any other 1/12th scale i would want to put the Speed Merchant formula front end on it.

(i'm still trying to figure out what is holding me back -- especially at my home track where i keep on stinking it up).

there is no extra brushless balanced pod like for the 12r5, genX or FF'07 (just to name a few). the standard Rev.5 pod doesn't seem to hold back donny, sal, gavin, or alex. currently the lower pod plate is the same for the 4.5, 5 and Formula 10 (i like common parts...).

If you start wearing T shirt's instead of button down shirt's you'll be faster.
Thanks for the Input..
