You have to build the diff so it has a thick diff action . You build the diff either ball or gear with AW grease . It's that sticky silver grease made by Tamiya. If your building a ball diff ,you tighten it all the way down . Then maybe back it off a hair. If your building a gear diff , you add one extra shim inside the diff case . Then adjust the three diff case screws to set how thick the diff resistance is . The diff should be thick enough that if you put the car on it's side ,give it throttle and turn the steering the car should right itself.

Ray! you've converted me to measuring everything and regularly rebuilding my cars for best performance and this ^^^ is your test for setting the diff!

I didn't see that in my copy of the 'Ray K Tuning Handbook'!

Default New series

As I prepare for the new point series, I wanted to take a moment to thank TEAM RED DOT for all their work, and the prizes of last series. You guys do a big part in keeping RC fun, cheap and open to new racers. THANK YOU!

Default SS at TCS

Casey, Ray K, Doc, Larry;
(does that sound like 4 of the 7 Dwarfs?)

“Inquiring minds want to know”

1. Will there be a “Senior Spec” (SS) Class offered at the March TCS race at “The C”

2. If so, what will be the rules for, tires , bodies, gearing , etc.

3. What will the SS “sign up” procedures be? Through TSC website? At the track?

4. Will a Senior Spec entry count against your TCS entry limit of 2?

5. When will the handout motors be available? Night before? When the doors open? 1 Hour before first heat?

- We’re less than 60 days from race date
- Need to give folks as much time as possible to round up the necessary “bits and pieces.
- Need to post the info both here and on the TCS thread so any interested “out of towners” can be informed.
Later,
Rod
