I'll bring a SC motor for you. You can use it for practice.

Or you (or anyone, for that matter) can buy one directly from me and use it for practice. E-mail me at [email protected] for details.

Ed and Ray and I also talked about the possibility of HT doing a group buy at a reduced price so that people could buy their own motor and leave it in their car all of the time instead of having to take it out and get another handout the next week. The motors are all engraved with "15K" and a number so you know it's legal.

Generally speaking, all 15K Red Dots perform pretty much the same and unless you have access to specialized equipment like mine there's no way to increase the power, so I don't foresee any problems with cheater motors, advanced timing, etc. If someone shows up with a full race Red Dot, the difference in straightaway speed will be immediately obvious even at 6.8FDR.

rccardr: I sent you a note as well as I'm practicing with a much faster motor than the silver can. would be nice to practice with the same size/type of motor that is actually run in the class.

OK, I got a bunch of e-mails from people interested in a personal Red Dot 15K for Spec GT, so here's the deal: usually we sell these motors for $45 each, but Spec GT drivers get a 15% discount so that's $38.25 per motor, plus shipping. Brandy new in the box & all yours. Shipping runs $7 for up to three motors. Sadly, I will not be at the C until January so gonna have to mail these.

E-mails to [email protected].
