Should ads require a picture.

New guy here but it makes sense to me. I am admin on a different site and we require it.
#47

yes. consider it a form of insurance. items could be stolen and recognized.

It only makes sense. Why would you buy something without seeing it first?

Every site I've joined before, local car sites, paintball forums, gun forums, you always have to have a picture. And this being such a giant hobby and most people don't know what everything is, it'd be nice to see a picture of the items. Pictures sell items hundreds of times faster and it makes it safer to deal with. IMO.
you've got to be a former importatlanta user...
oh yea x2 though

I know I'm old school but. Never buy a big in a poke so why would a seller not want to post pics ? Why would a seller not want to make it easy for a buyer to see their product they are trying to sell ? So here's a analogy for you.
Would you put a for sale sign in your driveway without the car ?

Some also say "email or text for faster response, I'm not here that often"..You don't need to be here that often. If you're wanting to be contacted via email for notices on here. Simple, click the option to get email notifications for PM's and subscribed threads. Boom! someone sends you a PM or posts in your sales thread, you get an instant email letting you know. Hell you don't even need to come to the site to view the post or PM! You can read it right in the fricken' email you just got on your phone. So if it's some crazy tire kicker or jack wagon with a stupid as chit question you can simply ignore it...
But NOOOO....some people, who don't want to take 5 minutes or less, to post pictures would rather text pictures to every tire kicking tom dick and harry sack that texts them.......Ya, that's not a waste of time

You CAN....
1) upload pics from your phone directly to the site.
2) subscribe to your threads, and get emails when someone posts.
3) get email notifications when someone sends you a PM.
RCTech has the tools in place already to make life pretty easy. The fact that people are either too stupid or fricken' lazy to use them. Well sadly that's something I can NOT change.

I'm done trying to get pictures out of people. No I'm not texting you, im not emailing you, im signing up for some stupid messaging app. If you can't be bothered to expend some effort to make some money by fulfilling the most basic of requirements, I'm not going to expend any to give it to you.
Some people. Smh.

Yes I say YES! Come on people its not high tech to post pics. I learned how to do it way back in 1995, it has since become even more simple.

I have never been successful to get pictures on a post and why waste time when other ways to get pictures

It will increase interest, having more potential customers will sell your item more quickly, and increase the chances on getting what your asking instead of getting lower offers. Selling anything is a normally a "get it while its hot" transaction. Many times when there is too much hassle or too much time elapsed the buyer will become uninterested and move on. If there are pics included that will reduce that situation. But other than that, yeah why waste the time? I have never had trouble posting pics, and there are many different ways of doing it, but like other posts stated above its about not being lazy..
I would like to see a poll on users complaining about buyers flaking, low-balling and tire kicking related to no pics on that particular users F/S post..
