That might sound like I'm being critical. I'm not. I've done a number of bodies that weren't period correct either. I see both sides of it. Most tracks don't do any kind of paint concourse judging anyway. It looks like a Vaughn Gittin, Jr. paint scheme!

While I do like seeing "period correct" stuff too, there are only so many Sunoco Camaros and Bud Moore Mustangs and Donahue AMC's you can fit on one track, haha. And its definitely better than the single can jobs.

I give it 2 thumbs up

I give him props for the paint job. No it's not period correct, but it does look like a race car. It's not painted like an Easter egg, like the touring cars are. And he went through a lot of trouble to get the tires to look like they do. It's great. Maybe a bit too modern on the scheme, but it is very well done.

Nice paint. Like the wheels.
I was wondering why it felt sloppy in the corners.
I was waiting for the green wheel nuts to arrive and I only had my blue nuts.

The Adidas Camaro looks awesome. Regardless of the era that the paint scheme would best fit in, it above all looks like a race car!!!

Good to hear that spectators enjoy watching your racing.

All I know is that when we race in the Hobbytown parking lot, all of the spectators root for the prettiest cars.

Just last week I heard kids say "Oooh I like the yellow one..." (mine)

I'm thinking... "stupid kid, you should be rooting for the butt ugly green Parma 'cuda..."

Thank goodness they don't root for the prettiest drivers... that would be a different kind of race.

And one you are not likely to win.

Speaking of non-period correct paint schemes, I finally got the KISS Kamaro (HPI '68 Camaro body) mounted on an extra TC3 chassis I have. This one is a shelf queen plain and simple.

My first concert in 1976 was KISS, been a fan ever since. Not so much of what goes on off stage, but certainly ON stage! I used the "DESTROYER" album colors for inspiration.
