I don't need those parts. I got the serpent 966e so I came with those bits. But, I am not a fan of having to take the top plate off each time to mount the batteries and not being able to have larger batteries. This is the reason I would rather be able to mount them on the side and mount my electronics down on the chassis so I can have longer run times with the bigger batteries since I will be parking lot racing with buddies.

all i did was make a new top tray for mine. using all the same stuff as the 966E.
first off used shorty packs, had them nice and central resting at the back next to the rear radio tray support. but then wanted bigger capacity, so made it wider then to house 2 x normal 2S touring packs. i tried batts hanging off the side, its not an ideal situation. still enough room to mount electronics by having your batteries mounted at the back just infront of the radio tray support. makes for a better handling car also.

For sale with lots of nip parts if someone are interested. Have drove it for an hour only.

I did.

But if it was the ESC or the motor, which in return fried the ESC, I will never know.
After the ESC went, I replaced it for a new one, and it immediately broke after switching it on. Turned out to be a damaged sensor board in the motor.

After switching from 6S lipo to 4S, I never had a problem like that again, other problems occure then

As you can see in your first movie in where you drive together with some nitro 8th scale cars, you can see the big disadvantage of driving 6S lipo, mounted next to the car, it handles like crap. The weight is around 500grams more, and hanging on both sides of the car, giving the car to much roll....
My 4S 966e handles almost like his nitro powered bigger brother (I still believe nitro powered is the bigger brother )

But the problem with 4S lipo, is runtime. I have not yet been able to go flat out and reach 5 minutes.

Stories I read here about 8 minutes runtime, might be true on a small track, bur running at the MACH track, a real 8th scale track, like we have a lot in Europe, is a real challenge, atleast, if you also want to have some decent topspeed.....

Thanks for the replies guys.

I didnt feel that my car handled like crap, i was not very used to driving it at that point, when i managed to put the car in correct apex i had almost the same laptime as the nitro guys. if you look at the laps approx 1.50 in the movie i started to get hang of it.

I guess gearing was to high and i have no slipper, but i was told to get two 5S packs and a 1000kv motor to be on the right side with the electronics. weel maybe i will build this one as a speedcar.

I guess 4S is not an option, i want to go fast so next year i will build a 1/10 235mm pan car instead.
