Yet. Pardon my pessimism but, it will happen. I like the inboard batteries for that reason. That and a better polar moment.

For the last few months I've been working on an 1/8 electric.
I'm basing my conversion on a Capricorn LAB-C801. For the first prototype/mule I'm making a simple conversion. This is basically to test the electronics and the driveline. When all of this is reliable and able to cope with the forces I will start producing a proper, purpose build 1/8 electric.
The electronics I'm using are specifically designed for 1/8 onroad and will have the power and reliability to match a nitro version and in the end it will even surpass the nitro version.

I don't see belts handling a CC and 2650 on 6's, I look forward to being proven wrong. Looks really cool

Belts work fine on our E-MRX4's using 6s 1550kv and 1700kv.... our experince has show anything up in the 2000kv or higher on 6S just melts and blows stuff up when running at race pace. we are getting 8min plus run time on 5200mah 6S Rocket fast and good blalnce of weight and runtime.

To keep the thread alive, here some videos of me driving the S966e, on 4S lipo, with 2200kv Hobbywing motor / Xerun 150a ESC....

At both videos I drive 24 pinion, 44 spur, and the internal ratio of the car is 50/22=2.273. rear tyres where 72mm diameter. this gives a roll-out of 54mm, topspeed is 90kmh.
With 26 pinion and fresh 76mm tyres, the car reaches 100kmh
Only then the lipo's dumped I think, and reached a temp of 60 celcius!
What I would really like from Hobbywing, is less punch.....
The traction is so high in on-road, that I can do with less punch, to gain runtime. I now drive with 5100mAh cells, and runtime is 5 minutes, but with lipo cut-off at 2.8V, which empty's the lipo's to 3.1V open voltage (not under load).
In the first video I'm driving together with somebody who is practising for the 10th scale worlds of 2012 which are run on our track.
In the 2nd video, the silver car is a 200WGT, and just a bit slower then me, but we were having a lot of fun, and he was constantly blocking me, so in the end, I had enough of it and made a perfect move to give him a little push which rolled him over.... that's how we do that when we are having a laugh!....

Are you guys really only getting 7-8 minutes of runtime w 6s? On 4s 6000's w a tekin RX8 and a 2650 motor I get at least 13 minutes on a race track, 9-10 in a parking lot running full throttle almost all the run. My top speed is 70mph and has more punch then you couls imagine. This is w/ a Mugen MRX4X single speed and the gearing is 59/21
