How much is "Earo 100,00 " in American $s? I have no idea. It looks like an F1 though.

Default RC10L2 hub

I'm looking to replace the left hand hub on my RC10L2 road to a clamping type, as I find the kit hub causes excessive axle wear. Is an IRS or other hub the best solution or is the L3O hub the same dimensions? Thanks.

Default Tamiya bodies

Is this for real? 80 - 100 Euros for a body? That comes out to $96 to $121 for a body.

The clamping L3O hub will work fine - you've just got to space it correctly.

MrPhoney - That's Tamiya for ya...

It's an old, crappy Tamiya F1. A completely useless car, so anyone who would bid on it for that starting price must be crazy.

Hey guys, just thought Id let you know that entries for the US Pan Car Championships will open up July 31. If you need a copy of the flyer just send an email to [email protected]. I will email it to you so you can print out copies and get it to pan car racers at your track (10th and 12th scale)

Thanks Mark. By "space" do you mean #8468? Also, since you mention knowing many other racers with this car, what is the most common solution to this problem (or is it not really a problem with a bit of attention to detail? I would have thought that biting into that graphite whenever one wishes to change a ride height spacer may become a problem over time)?.

Thanks for your help

I'm not Marka, but by space he means this: the clamping hub is shorter than the original, therefore it needs a different spacing ring to fill up the gap between the hub and the bulkhead. It is supposed to be suppied with the Factory Team clamping hub. Threading the setscrew again and again onto the axle will weaken it. The flat spot on the axle also makes the axle break more easily. Further more the clamping runs much truer than the original setscrew hub, making the rear of the car more planted, as well as completely eradicating all vibrations in the rear pod making your motor last longer between rebuilds.
All in all, a clamping hub is a very wise investment.

To just briefly expand on what Holland said (he pretty much covered it all), if you buy the clamping hub packaged as an AE Factory Team part for the L2, you get an additional spacer as shown here: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...5b&FVPROFIL=++ . The actual hub part itself is the same as the one for the L3O, you just get that extra spacer that does not come with the L3O hub so you need to come up with something to take up that space yourself. Two of these spacers should work http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LX3120&P=7 .
