What is the top end like on these engines? I heard from a friend that they lack abit on top compared to the Nova’s? can’t decide between these and the new Mephisto.

Haven't seen one of these around here but for me topspeed compared to the Nova’s is about the same.

Nope, you just have to gear right.

What would be the best current option for piston and sleeve for this engine? I run 16% fuel in europe. Is it the eurospec or just a stock 2103? I tried a 2104 but lets just forget about that.

The Eurospec sleeve is a possibility but due to the low crankshaft timing of the R2103 you might not get all the advantage out of it.
So I suggest you stay with the original P/S

What happened with the R2104 sleeve?

I guess scratches on the piston.

Yeep that's right. A huge crack in the piston and the sleeve actually broke and ripped it

What about if I change crankshaft to the eurospec? Is that a better option than to build it back to r2103 specs?
