Novarossi Ielasi Tuned Engines - Official Thread

For sure it's a good engine for the money but not on that pipe. I'm sure that $299.99 is a big margin and is a bit overpriced. In Europe you can find for less than 200 euros so in fact could be a good buy. Throw away the supplied Pipe and run a 2015.

US Edition .21 9 port WC Engines are available along with US Edition .12 WCE. Motors have been further modified to be even faster, Daniele Ielasi came to the states himself and after some R&D felt like he could improve the power band even more for our style tracks this is the end result. All regular WC variants, still available.

The difference is the Ielasi tuned will help you win the King of Cali race, and the other one won't....
Just make sure you take your hat off first before you put on your crown to take pictures...lol...Congrats to the King !!!

So far I know from the 35WC is that Kurzbuch and his dad are working on the Novarossi line and he is now running the Mesphito. Indeed the looks are simulair and the engines do share the same ideas but for sure they are different.

Hi everyone how are you, I was hoping you could shed some light on a few things. Does Ielasi take in engines and custom orders/mod services or does he just sell his own stock? Does he do full modifications front to back top to bottom so to speak? or just add some finishing touches to factory engines? How are his mods compared to lets say murnan or the nitro shop or rb mods?
Any help would be much appreciated thank you!!

Because Ielasi has direct access to the production he can use his own CNC programs to make a lot of his own specs by machine. Having 3 Ielasi tuned with all exact the same specs and no sight of hand tuning I am pretty sure it is just machine work. I can imagine that teamdrivers do get some extra handwork on the engines.
Other engine modifiers have to deal with an off shelf engine and have to grind all the specs into the engine.

The most performance comes from timings, those are the moments when ports and crankshaft opens and closes. These are pretty sure CNC milled. Also many cuts and scoops are just CNC work. Afterwork by hand is only to smoothen out the angles and sometimes matching the sleeve with the crankcase but I am pretty sure the Ielasi engines from the shop have no handwork.
Pics of hand modifying is just what most people want to see but do you think the many hundreds of engines he has sold are done by hand?
