OSRocket is a guy on eBay that pinches engine sleeves for about $25.00 USD (don't know if the price changed?).

Graeme,

HERE you go. You can just send Jon an e-mail if you have questions.

Dammit his prices have come down - only US$13.99.

Default FX12 T05

Guys, I just got my FX 12 and one thing I notice is the piston/sleeve is really really TIGHT. It took effort to even crank it with the flywheel attached.

Any suggestions or warnings before i try to break this baby in?...

*Pray my starter motor doesn't smoke!!!

I would suggest using a heat gun or a blow dryer to heat up the engine making it easer on your stater box and you.

Hi,

If you guys got them from HMS Malaysia, then I assume that's the one with fully optioned. Did any of you got the 3 ports? Have you checked your sleeve porting design? Is it still the old one or already comes with the newer one (IDM style)?

Thanks

I've got the 5port version and it's with the older sleeve design (it looks exactly like the one on their web). I've yet to try out the engine...will keep you guys posted. I've currently got the RR12L5 and Max S5...both are really good engines as well.

How is tuning this new fx motor? Does the single needle carb offer enough adjustment to get both the high and low rpm ranges tuned in solidly?
