how much clutch gap are you using?

Because i am hearing a lot of 0.5mm clutch gaps with these engines.

how hot are you guys running this engine

chovden 01-10-2010 03:13 PM

Anyone had a crank pin failure on these? I broke my pin today..

elche_83 01-10-2010 10:08 PM

i have, conrod punched a hole in the case also

chovden 01-11-2010 01:49 PM

On mine to crank, conrod and block is gone...
Never run hot maks I have had is around 120C, ran about 185F when it let go on sunday, has just under 3 gallons on the engine and was still very strong and good

elche_83 01-11-2010 10:58 PM

could have been anything that caused it a bad bearing, slighty sloppy con rod the crank pins carry quite a bit of load in rotation mass when you think about and these engine rev hard to,guess we had bad luck on to the next engine mate.

i havn't had any problems with my engine so far.
it is not bad at all. had mine for about 10 months.

it may not be the fastest engine out there, but it is the most reliabe engine by far. the easyest engine to use.

it almost starts before it hits the starter. ha ha
