The only reason not to go for that engine is that it isn't produced anymore so parts will be difficult to find. If you can find the right setup in clutch and gearing it will run fast,

Carb Issues
I found that an OS carb is a perfect fit and will make the crf an easy to tune engine. I put a carb from an 18 tz on mine and it's fast but not legal if you must run a carb with a 5.5 opening. Maybe a carb from a speed 12 would work also.;)

manpipe
What pipe mani combo is good for these engines if you can't find the CRF pipe? Anything tuned for high RPM?

Hi, I'm not a racer (yet) in this class but I've been using the 3D clutch from Kyosho with my RRR and seems to work perfectly fine. Thanks

I found the veg clutch weights, shoe and spring works well But I think they only fit kyosho clutches

So far yes. Now also have the newer Orion CRF .12 waiting for the next season 2010 with RRR 2D clutch.
how much clutch gap are you using? Because i am hearing a lot of 0.5mm clutch gaps with these engines. |
~1.1 - 1.2 mm in the clutch nut. ~0.5mm play in the end of the cranck (the locking screw).
