here is the problem..........when you go to tight with head clearance detonation may occur and the visible result is the top of the piston and combustion chamber popped........in this case the damage is done and your engine will never perform as good as before until you change piston/liner and combustion chamber.........

sometimes when you're lucky the glow plug burns itself and it's a sign that the head clearance too small, or your carb setting is too lean.......then you just have to replace the glowplug and check the carb setting and head clearance.......

YIKES! So, atleast put one .1mm shim on there just to play it safe and richen the HSN?

SalvadoriRacing 02-02-2006 06:37 PM

yep.....if want to be safe add one 0.1 shim.........
about the HSN comparing 25% to 30% nitro you usually set rich with higher nitro content......but it's a slight difference, not related to be safe or not, just because higher nitro content increases explosion and build more heat in combustion chamber

HarKonnenD 02-02-2006 07:04 PM

So by how much would I have to richen it up? Just basically tune for performance right?
