Novarossi Mito7 On-Road Is no longer available on the Novarossi website.
What happened? Low sales...
Onlys: Mito9 Mito35WC17 and Ison.21

Yes it is not worth having a product in production that is not sold.

I have a .12 novarossi based engine (Max Power) it is shimmed for use with 16-25% nitro. Is is advised to re-shim if I use 30% fuel? If so, how much should I add?

Yes, add 0.1mm shim for 30%.

Found a deal on a rex legend .21 9 port. Anyone run this model? I'm wondering how much faster or better the 35wc is. Thoughts?

Edit: Disregard, got a Nova instead.

mustangkillaz 07-02-2017 03:09 AM

Anyone ever experience a firm interference almost press fit on a pin to piston on a nova .21?

All the others I have rebuilt have been easy slide in and out. Some had a very light interference fit.

I'm hoping this isn't a defect.

Do you mean the wrist pin? If so, then yes I've had a few motors that had fairly close tolerances. Made changing the rod a pain in the ass

Thanks for sharing your experience. I guess that makes me feel a little better. The rod to pin clearance is the usual floating clearance and fine. The pin to piston has to be forced In. I'm hoping Novarossi replies soon so that I can put it back together and move on.

You're local, what and where do ya run?

Get the Mito. It is Novarossi back at its best. The Legend and Elite are also great engines but based on older Novarossi design. Avoid the Virtus engines as these engines are not Novarossi's finest... I have a Virtus .12 and a .21 and both are very inconsistent that just don't have the top end of the Mito. Perhaps some of the hand modified Virtus engines are better but the standard ones are rubbish.

Oh Dan. You're making me break out the new Mito .12 that's been sitting on my desk for the last 2 years. I took some time off and just got back to the hobby again and started running my old Virtus. I thought the engine was inconsistent but thought that was due to my limited knowledge. Now I can blame the engine :sneaky:

Welcome back!! Yeah the Virtus engines are crap. Enjoy the Mito it's much MUCH better. The only thing that's saved my virtus engines from the bin is that we race in wet weather fairly often so they are used only in the rain and have performed well in this conditions
