Novarossi engines thread

There will be more time needed to reach FULLY break in.
What theory of yours you want to share now ?

I have no theory to share. I use 1 liter of fuel slowly tuning from rich to lean and after the liter it must be race ready. The only thing I noticed with Novarossi engines is that it can take another 1 to 2 liters that you have to take the time to warm up the engine or else it will stall on the pinch.

I made one and I must say the engine runs more constant, the fact that it should give more runtime I did not notice it.

This is mere theory, while reality may be other things.

Well, in theory, since the exhaust gas cooler is somewhat reducing the pressure by having the gases run a larger trail; the runtime is supposed to increase the runtime since the fuel wont be "pushed" that hard into the carburetor. In another matter, it should help improve consistancy as you have stated, because the hot gases wont alter the fuel's temperature to the same extent as without the gas cooler.

-poor fuel choice,
-poor engine tune
-poor clutch setting
-wrong plug choice
-short fuel tubing from pipe to tank
I still think it is a gimmick. It might work...for the top guys who have all these things set, but you won't gain anything from it that your oldschool pressure chamber is already doing for you.
Use the team orion pressure system, as this seems to be a better idea to variably change the pressure as the engine/tank needs it, as opposed to just "cooling" the air like the nova system proports to doing.

Instead, I only use inline fuel filter...., which i can see the benefit : 1. extra safety for what goes in into my engine, and 2. few seconds of extra run time ( or keep the engine still running when the car is upside down, especially in off road racing scene ).

We still have to do a test with and without cooler to see how much temperature the fuel inside the tank has.
So far I have experienced is that there is less need to finetune the engine on a day. I also must say that my cooler maybe works better due the placing lower in the chassis and the more forced cooling by the design.

I have almost a gallon on my novarossi b2000 bf.21 limited edition in my 8ight 2.0. What Im wanting to know is what is a good heat range to keep this engine running at ? I have read somewhere between 230-270. Is this correct ? I know not to tune to temp. and keep plenty of smoke coming from exhaust but kinda wanted a good estimate. I know different engines have different ranges. Any and all help will be used.
