i use fuel cooler (team c)as an exhaust cooler, works well to reduce a bit pressure and dissipate heat. runtime also increased about 30sec. power wise hardly feel any difference.

Hi there

which head gap would you propose for a Nova 359-21 running 25% Nitro @450m (1480 feet) elevation? Large fast Euro-style track.
For which symptons should I look in order to decide if I should go up or down a shim?

Thanks for your feedback!

i never had any problems with front bearing leaking with my old 3sct. if its axially shaky, change it.better safe than sorry about the rubber seal ceramic. i use boca ceramic bearings, rubber seal front(only on the outter side) and open rear bearing. i dont see any difference b4 and after changing it in this short while

Default 353 Race 12 Question

I just bought a new 353 Race 12 engine and with it came an extra needle and plastic inlet nipple. Are these just extra or are they different then the ones in the engine ?

What version of 353 is this? 2009, 2008 or earlier? Im pretty sure the person that can share complete light on this subject would be Murnan, so I'd suggest you ask on his thread also. But maybe someone here can shed some light too.

I would think the needle is for different scenarios, like it was with the CRF.

It is the 2008 version with the blue head, not the new purple head 2009 version.

I'll leave one on the Murnan thread also.

Thanks

The extra needle and inlet are there for if you are having any runtime issue's.
They will make the engine consume less fuel. The needle will also change the way it react's on throttle, can't say if it makes it more linear or more agressive.

Can someone tell me what the temp ranges are for a given glow plug on a .21 onroad engine? Cordoba on 30% if it matters.
Thx,

i have an N12TS1/RT and was mucking around with a few spare parts i had from other engines and found that the head from the O.S TZ fits on there. The Nova head has 10 cooling fins and the TZ has 9. Could i use this head without affecting it at all? The blue from the OS looks better than the uncoloured head from the Nova....

That shouldn't be a problem, It's nothing but a radiator anyway, if it fits and keeps it cool enough there is no problem.

Turbo

Turbo is conical plug.

Preferably use Turbo with black body. I heard the black plug use high quality platinum coil inside ( I don't know if this claim is true or not ).
