Default help me re-assemble my engine

hi guys,

i pulled apart my novarossi 12-3sct plus (foolishly) but now can't remember which way to put the pin back (that connects the rod to the piston)

the pin has an opened end and closed end.

which way does it go in?

I assume the open end of the pin faces the exhaust port, but just want to make sure I don't blow up my expensive engine

doesn't matter which direction the pin faces. The most important thing to keep in mind is you need to clip the c-clip in properly. Make sure the piston and rod are facing the right direction.

hmm, all the pictures I've googled show the hole on the pin facing the exhaust port, im assuming it acts as some type of vaccumm?

the little oil hole on the rod faces the carb end?

the long side of the piston faces the exhaust port?

LAy one end in the hole, put one fingertip on the middle part and with the tip of a hobbyknive or a small screwdriver you can shove the other end in.

Push the clip to the end of the hole against the pin and you must notice it is correct installed.
