First off, am sorry that I offended people on rc tech! Monty, I'll agree to disagree. I know that you along with many others think, you have to be on a stopwatch to know anything about rc engines. Whatever, I'm not gonna argue about it with anyone, anymore. I'm sorry for responding to stuff like an ass. It happens. To the Nebraska guy, dude, I'm sorry. I crossed the line and I know better! I guess if my post are not up to your standards, I'm sorry. Correct me if you think I'm wrong, I can take it. Thanks for reading.

Its how we deal with those disagreements that make us who we are , and how we deal with those things is quite apparent for the public to see when you are on an open forum such as rctech .
Think about what youre saying before you lay it down on these pages and do so with a few perspectives and you will be taken with much more seriousness
I really dont have an issue with you Shane , if others fill u full of nonsense then those people are the real problem

Never thought you have to be racing on the clock to know anything at all about nitro engines shane , the deal is there are so many perspectives and opinions out there that no matter where we go or what we do in life there will Allllllways be disagreements to be had.

Somethings are very commendable , knowing when you were in the wrong and admitting it with some humility is one of those things
Nobody knows it all

I guess im trying to say that im not saying that anyone who doesnt race doesnt know ANYTHING about nitro engines Shane , its two different worlds out there as far as "playing" with rc cars and dedicating huuuuugggggee amounts of time and effort into racing rc cars and making it something you are known for worldwide as a very in the know person that many go to for advice for all aspects of it .

Humility,
I've been experimenting, trying to become "my own dremall jockey!
I've been around the block when it comes to engines. Well, I now know how far is to to far with a b7 pro!
it goes Like a raped ape, not too far tho....lol... I have more!
Have a b5, that I've "loved" also.,.. will report after tomorrow.
Just to be clear, I'm experimenting with my own stuff, for me, that's it. Not challenging anyone at all. Am just checking what I know... I love spin doctors!

Humility will always win but being orrgant or talking down to others gets you side lined or bypassed.. Confidence is important but how it's expressed is equal important, support each other in a positive way..Monty is absolutely right there's so many opnions and egos it's inevitable.. Personalities come in different sizes some are super big..

George Carlin said it best when he uttered, "we have some people we would like to throw flame on!"
Just have fun. These forums are killing the entire hobby. When everyone stops having fun with our toy cars we can come here and enjoy the entertainment.

These toys are my stress reliever! I come here to learn and try to advice new people in the hobby. I get caught up in bs easily. Its a flaw that I have to deal with. I love this hobby and I wish more did as well....I think one of the biggest misconceptions of this hobby is that you have to race to have fun or be relevant. That couldn't be farther from the truth, at least the way I see it. If you have a dirt bike or ATV or whatever, in order to have knowledge or fun with it,, you have to race? That's not how it is and until people grasp that fact, this hobby will not grow as fast as we all would like. Plain and simple......

The funny and at the same time anoying thing on these forums is that most know best and advise to use the services of certain people on these forums. There is nothing wrong with DIY, it is learning and usefull to get more insight.

Ran some nitro through my B5 today.
Well, when your playing with ports, sometimes less is more! WOW, did I stumble on a great thing with this B5. It has a super strong bottom stock, but, with some minor port adjustments, I made it at least as strong as a b6 on top without sacrifice.
Its an engine I bought used here on rctech for $80 and I had Ray do his magic and I played with the sleeve a bit after I re broke it in. WOW. I don't have any runtimes, but, it will not be worse than what I had. Anyway, its my past time and I love running these things. I am not scared to buy used engines, I just expect the worst and go from there. Buy em cheap if your buying used. Its worked for me. My only new .21 I've bought new is kinda a shelf queen cause I'm having to much fun with my budget mills....

I tinkered with a old xtm .24 once that I used for dirt oval...lets just say it screamed for @ 4 min then it popped... That's when I figured out that modding motors this small just isn't my forte'...ill leave it to the pros. Congrats on the luck your having!!
