I run all but 4 screws in my flywheel, red springs and hard shoes. I get about 3+ gallons on my shoes. However I'm really anal I never let them wear down to the dot before I replace. I'm lucky I see and race with Mitch on a regular basis at Nitro Valley. Have not seen the new steel flywheel yet I'm sure he want disappoint his flywheels are the best in the biz IMO. I have been running them every since I started the hobby. Tried a few others and nothing compares and his keep getting easier and easier to swap shoes or install. Now I just have one already setup in my box to do a quick swap you can't beat that for time saving. I guess next years model will put the shoes on itself.

Update for the carbon like alum shoes. They are still rolling in my buggy at almost 2 gallons. I am running all 4. Great shoes Mitch :D

Ran the M2C last night at a day/night meet with the Novarossi BTT and all we could say is wow, 8 grub screws fitted track traction medium, This clutch hooked up great at first we went out with 1.0mm springs which were mated to hard shoes slightly worn maybe two club days on them. You could hear just the faintest of slippage so changed the set up to .9 springs and medium shoes and like a said before the 808 was hooking up great as this was our first meet with the Novarossi.

clutch bell grabbing

Just built my first m2C clutch - very impressive. Problem is that when I have gone to fit it to my alpha orange head to go into my 8T I seem to be locking the clutch bell to the clutch and getting no end play. Do I need a different set than than the stock losi? Shims??? Help!

You are going to want to contact Mitch directly at M2C. As far as I know his clutch does not work with Losi Nitro Vehicles. I think he said something about the way the Losi bell is made. I could be wrong though.

just letting people know. i wasnt all for it at first because its heavy, i got one from Mitch to test and havent taken it off. makes the power real useable, no wheel spin, and 2 minutes more run time (yes, 2 minutes). its nice to have, especially loose tracks. but any of the M2C flywheels are great and worth every penny.

wanted to give a little update on the steel flywheel (should be released this week).

this past weekend i put it in my truggy. had plenty of power, actually added weights to it. was getting 12.5-13 min a tank with it, was getting 9.5-10 min with aluminum. i ran 4 screws, .95 springs and reg med shoes and it was dialed. won pro truggy by 2 laps and was able to pit at 11 min mark and my pit man said i still had the neck of the fuel gun left in the tank. this system is all anyone needs for buggy and truggy. it hasnt come out of either my buggy or truggy sense i got them to test.

run time isnt the only benefit i am getting, also getting less wheel spin which equals longer tire life and way more controllable power. to me it feels like it has more bottom because im no longer just spinning the wheels off it. i highly recommend getting the steel flywheel system, you wont be disappointed

I'm about to install this clutch system on my nova p5 and it will go in my truggy. I was wondering what clutch springs I should use. I have med shoes.

start with all 0.95 (yellow) springs and 8-12 screws if aluminum. if steel start with 4 screws.
