THE WORLD'S MOST ADJUSTABLE FLYWHEEL
http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/j...acing/6075.jpg
http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/j...g/DSC00005.jpg M2C RACING is pleased to announce the release of our new QUICK CHANGE 4 SHOE CLUTCH SYSTEM. THIS SYSTEM IS THE MOST ADJUSTABLE CLUTCH SYSTEM IN THE WORLD TO OUR KNOWLEDGE. The system (kit 6075) fits ALL 1/8 SCALE VEHICLES on the market that run a 34mm flywheel. Exceptions; Rc8 buggy kit (no.6085). (This flywheel requires a 3mm width starter wheel contact patch Due to the rear brake placement. We also have the 36mm model for the Durango(part no. 6050) And kyosho 32mm model (part no.3655) Based on a proven design of our 6027 variable weight system, this new flywheel incorporates a newly designed clutch nut and post that allows you to preload the shoes on or off the flywheel with our new mock crank tool. This tool allows you to work on the clutch without having to bothered with working Around the pipe and holding the motor. It also allows you to quickly change from one flywheel setup to another with the quick change nut. The new flywheel has (24) 4 mm screws to allow you to adjust to your setup and track conditions. The flywheel with no weights is 19grams with shoes and clutch nut This is great for the weaker bottom end motors or super high traction tracks. Fully loaded is 26 grams making it one of the heaviest flywheels on the market(the losi steel weighs 25 grams). This allows you to tame down the More powerful engines like the modded WORX B5 AND B6 from our Canadian friends at CLOCKWORK ENGINES. This system uses the same shoes and springs as our other 4 shoe flywheel kits. For more information see our website www.m2cracing.com Or call me at 803 417 3071 |
Nice but having 24 grub screws inserted (if we need the extra weight), won't we have 24 more worries of them coming out?
|
Granted, anything is possible. But FWIW, I've been running the original weighted system with no problems. A little dab of locktite helps too. :)

the last thread or so is actually cutting into the aluminum so they are pretty tight and a dab of blue lock tight isn't going to hurt anything. |
Never had a screw come out. Love the clutch.
Can I purchase the flywheel separately? |

I also have been using the original variable weight unit and NEVER have had a problem. Track Star will also be carrying these new units. :) (Thanks for all of your R&D Mitch!) |
Mitch was pimping these bad boys out at Zoo City in Asheboro, NC this weekend. They look NIIIIIICE! I may have to get me one of them ;-)

flywheel
yes you can purchase the flywheel seperately, but it is better to purchase
at least 1 full kit. that way you get the mock crank tool and the new spring wrench. the mock crank tool makes it really easy to work on the clutch since you do not have to handle the motor. We did have to make some different models for the Associated,Durnago, and Kyosho to meet their specific needs. they are listed on the website. |
Very nice Mitch!
I was just about to place a new order. Perfect timing James Allara Terribles RC |
I too have been running these flywheels, not used a bit of locktight, and have not had a set screw come out yet. Great product Mitch! You guys should also check out the tapered shock pistons.
|
We will be putting one of these to the test in Alabama this weekend with one of our Team Drivers!
Thanks, Mitch, I am sure it will be a home run like your other products! :tire::D |
Holy Moly

Are all the new fly wheels flat on the back and not recessed i have one but have to run a few extra shims, No biggie but the flat one would suit my application better...Best clutch i have ever used and the best part is every thing is replaceable being able to replace the pins is a bonus, I have two 4 shoe clutches here that are useless as the pins are worn and cant get replacements.
great work mitch |
how is the weight compared to the losi steel flywheel? i see there are holes drilled for lightness, myself like the heavier flywheel for smoother idle and smoother throttle responce.
