So I picked up an OS FS40S-C and the Kyosho Landmax 4 stroke fitting kit.

The fitting kit didn't come with a clutch. It is 2 pin instead of the usual 3 pin for the flywheel. What clutches are you guys using? Should I go with the Kyosho aluminum clutch shoe setup? Or were people using the Vespal clutch?

I've read on these forums that the MIP or Traxxas 2-shoe clutch for the T-Maxx is a good option.

Thanks, I did a little searching and it seems the Kyosho KC45 is the one to be used. Its carbon shoes. However, I may try aluminum. Not sure yet.

If anyone is interested in the 4 stroke fitting kit for Landmax 2 (fits MP7.5 based cars, Inferno GT, etc.), here is whats included in the set. Kyosho P/N# GTW-50

There was two left on ebay. I bought one set, and the other set was gone a few days later. Seems the Landmax 1 GTW40 set is still available. (MP5 based chassis).

I haven't decided yet if I'm going to put the .40 in an Inferno Neo (revised MP7.5) or Inferno GT2 (onroad). At least the fitting kit has a 2 speed clutchbell that should mate with the 2 speed on the GT2. Have to figure out a cooling fan solution too.

Hi gang
Sorry to hijack the thread in this manner...
I've managed to buy the most rare BMT 891 3-speed transmission (drive gears and clutch bell, plus the 3 pinions) and now i'm looking for the flywheel for it.
In case that i fail to find the original part, which would you guys and gals suggest me to use?
Oh BTW, the engine is the tiny O.S. FS-20.
Cheers!

Hello, I am new to this forum. I'm also a superten nut. I have approximately 15 supertens, most of them FW03's. I'll try posting a picture of one of my 04's just to see if I can figure out how to post pictures on this forum. Nice meeting everybody, David
Can Someone please tell me how to post good pictures on this forum? The one picture below is extremely blurry Even though the picture itself before I upload it is very crisp and much larger. Any advice on how to get more than one picture uploaded onto each post would also be greatly appreciated, Thanks, David

Anyone tell me what size these screws are for the OS FS40S-C?? I have a bunch of screws at home and none of it is really threading into the engine mount with this fitting kit. The engine I got didn't have those screws so I'm left with trying to figure out what it is. I think they may be 6-32 of some sort, but not sure...

M3x.5 x 12mm typically. DO NOT USE 6-32! Not compatible.

Anyone have an OS 30 Surpass carb, the one with the long neck manifold carb in one complete. I need it for a project I'm working on, name your reasonable price.
